FNaF Security Breach: Fire Escape Ending, 1h37m02.283s In-Game Time, Pre-1.0.5 Release World Record

This was a WR run through March 1, 2022, so that's pretty cool, but a LOT more is known about small skips, item requirements, etc. now, so I'd have to go back to pull off a ton of time post-1.0.5. Semi-item and Golden Plushie run! Solid run to that Fire Escape ending -- you probably don't need quite as many items as I got here, but this was a really good run (certainly much more polished than the stream). I'm not sure the In-Game Time, so I'll have to update that later. If you get this ending, let me know how many items (and maybe non-upgrade and non-boss and non-security items) you have, and how many of the Golden Plushies you have (update: I got the ending for this with ZERO Golden Plushies now -- it looks like it's either 39 or 40 non-upgrade items[?] to be able to exit).
This was the fastest run on the Fire Escape Ending on SpeedRun.com through 1.0.4 when 1.0.5 was released. Past 2/28, I'm expecting that it will be broken since you can skip dialog in a lot of new spots. Fun to have World Record on it for about a month and a half, though (1/16/22 through 3/1/22)!

Oh yeah, this run also has No Deaths, so that's cool, too. I guess MapBot and other S.T.A.F.F. Bots do startle Gregory, though.

Notes on commentary: - Yep, it was when Michael Tait was with 'Tait' that he made 'Empty' -- the song 'Empty' is one of my favorites from him. (Re: Play on 'Vanny-ty of Vanny-ties', shout out to Ecclesiastes) - The runner I'm talking about was wearing the Adidas Prime X, which has a stack height so thick that it's not allowed in competitive races [deemed too much of an advantage currently, even though benchmarks disagree vs. the Nike Alphafly Next%]. He signed up for the 10K, but kept running through the Half Marathon mark (...which I don't know how you can just 'make that mistake' with pacing in mind -- which is why I think this was likely a marketing gimmick) and won the Half Marathon. He should technically have been Double-DQed since he didn't actually sign up for that Half, but he did get DQed for wearing the shoes deemed ineligible for competition. (Re: Me thinking about how Freddy just ran a 5K...but maybe even made it a 10K) lol I get distracted sometimes, I guess.

Okay. since you clearly tested the animatronics a lot, what exactly makes Monty leap at you as an attack rather than a method to get on platforms lower and above him? I think it's weird how this ability makes him stand out so much (besides the glasses) and he doesn't use it in his boss battle or in his area as an attack. It would make him much more interesting if he abused it more often.

@@justice8718 My best guess is that it was an attack added for effect when he's trying to catch you just as you go around a corner at a distance not favorable for an immediate chase. I wouldn't be surprised if the hop-and-land move replaces it in that area, though he can land on you without a jumpscare with that move, lol.

​@@djsterf It would've made his boss fight more interesting and challenging if he could burst through a lane like Thomas the shank engine (kzbin.info/www/bejne/moKZmKN8ebuJnqs ) and kill upon landing. Then again, the game we currently have is a defaulted easy mode. That little thing explains how shattered Roxy is so unbelievably bad against hiding spots despite having sound effects of her clearly using her nose to find you. It also explains why blindable animatronics seem a little too easy fend off after you get a fazerblast/camera or a shoe upgrade. Another thing, how exactly do the animatronics spawn/react to the staffbot captures?

@@justice8718 If he could kill you upon landing that might be a bit too broken or something though, especially in a fight that requires you to stop for a fair bit to shoot frequently and where Monty is kinda hard to see when he's hanging onto one of the carriers. In particular, that would make Afton Ending playthroughs and anything else requiring a fully upgraded Freddy kinda a nightmare for anyone who killed Chica first.

Plus, I believe that instead of the silly 6 am rule, Steelwool should have just made the game more difficult by buffing the animatronics and pair up the Shattereds to every area or with an animatronic that isn't currently shattered.

Ya know, on the subject of the algorithm, it's basically a lottery when it comes to getting recommended. The only thing I can think of that would help is releasing both the full vods like you have been, but also releasing a very cut down highlight of the run at the same time. I know you might not have the time to edit so much raw footage on top of doing runs and having work, but you have to put in the effort to get the reward. I congratulate you on such a clean run, and wish you the best!

If it's any solace, I was actually introduced to you by a few jumps in recommendations after watching Markiplier's playthroughs again. So the algorithm is kind of doing it's thing (hey, you like Fnaf content, here's somebody with a great deal of content of it). That said, I do very much enjoy your content! I've had a great time watching your runs and you're very entertaining even when 'nothing' is happening. I thought the pizzeria simulator stuff was great for example as well. Hey there :) Would be very awesome to know how many items you need for this ending, at first i've tried all gold plushies + nightmare plush (because it is in a gold present as well) and the ending didnt trigger, so you need def more than these 7 xD

I'm pretty sure it's 35 non-key items. That's the number I've heard the most and it's always worked for me.

Could be 50% of all Gift Boxes, could have some uneven weighting, etc. I got it down to the exact present on the stream run of this, but I did have all 6 Golden Plushies on that one (and only had 5 when I exited before...and Becky posted that MatPat only had 3 -- so it's possible that no Goldens are really required, but I'd need to test that out on a diff run entirely lol).

It's probably a glitch using run, you can clip through many borders that would previously need items. An example of this is not needing a party pass to clip into Fazer Blast, skipping the entire "go to Chica's room" mission.

I decided to do prize counter after 6 am and got the golden plushies, 60 items (if the golden plushies count) and I can’t continue to go to the elevator during prize counter, it’s not letting the dialogue happen when I’m at the emergency exit and I have no idea what to do. Is there anything for you to help me?

Not sure if this will work, but try a Save to New Slot, then go back to the Security Room. Go out to the prize area from there from the right door and go through to the prize area -- there should be some warning noise if it hasn't been triggered yet. Not sure if it'll fix anything, but worth a shot. I remember having some trouble when I was going out of sequence in that area.

Probably about 40ish items. I don't think you need the Golden Plushies, and at the very least, not nearly all of them.
