The level 10 doors are only there for the mission where you're locked in the control room defending against monty and roxy and you're opening doors for freddy so he can rescue you through the vent. I've noticed that every door that appears on the moniters during the mission is a level 10 door so i think they were only put into the game to give freddy shortcuts during that mission so he'd get to you quicker. I hope i explained that well enough and cleared up the confusion on why there's no lore behind them

That makes sense too, though there's also the chance it to was also for debugging by devs to have shortcuts as well, and could've been for the player as well but cut due poor load times.

during mark’s playthrough he found he could look inside one of the rooms when freddy got close to it, so that’s a possibility

The level 10 could mean one of two things. 1. For immersion purposes. It is giving a logical reason as to why you cant access so that it feels more like an actual part of the building and less of a decorative prop. 2. They are currently inaccessible because they are for dlc and they wouldnt have the dlc areas rendered in the main game.

I believe that "popping" you get when going through the level 10 door on Rockstar Row is due to a type of occlusion culling -- a method of hiding things like walls, floors, chairs, and so on when not visible -- but the system was not set up properly for those doors to be opened. When you have a door closed, anything on the other side of that door will not be rendered properly to save on GPU rendering time, but when you open the door, what you can see will be rendered in until you step through the door and enter that room. It seems the door on Rockstar Row was not properly set up for this.

When you call Freddy to come to you, depending on where you are on the map, you might see him popping out of one of those- they also open for him when you are not inside him, and you might notice another Freddy T-posing inside as well. I think they are there for Freddy to get to you quickly once he is called and nothing more, they are shortcuts, but not for the player.

I can't wait for all the lore to be dissected- and it's so clear there's got to be at least one DLC finisher ending (Especially with the ending with Afton, and the one with Vanny and Vanessa both existing). Something that ties everything together. Or at least I *really* hope so. One thing I hate about multiple ending games: how much of what we find out in the other endings vs the 'true' ending is throwaway info vs actual lore and facts.

Considering how buggy and laggy it is, they probably were meant to be fast travels you could use in hardcore no save mode, but the devs probably couldn't work out the kinks to have it function seemlessly. But still left it in regardless because a future update might have increased stability, plus its always far easier to modify something in code as opposed to full on delete it. Which is why they probably left it as is to avoid further potential game breaking hiccups

I agree with others saying they probably cut the shortcuts because of loadings times. Although it could also be what you were kinda saying about them not having enough time to make the mini-games/fully design the shortcut areas. They cut max security level from 10 to 8 as a result. Also perhaps the shortcuts were meant to make navigating the hardcore endgame easier/safer.

My guess for these doors being locked is the bad loading times. This happened in other games. For instance in Bloodborne there was a door that was supposed to be a short cut to one of the bosses area but the loading times were bad(the map wouldn't load at the right time just like in this video) so they kept the door locked for the entire game. I think the level 10 security access is a just clever way to keep those doors locked without having to change the level design.

The level 10 doors were probably just placed their by the developers in order to get to specific areas quickly. They didn't remove the doors because most of the time, "developer rooms" aren't removed from games, just buried underneath files.

Great job at going far and beyond the game's own rules to reach level 12! Even though the office mini-game isn't meant to be played more than once, I'm so glad that Mony's broken state is used after you break him. I'm also glad that Vanny is supposed to appear more often, however, I do think it's a shame that she isn't included in the true ending.

You know what Steel Wool should do? Instead of not being able to save entirely, there should only be 1 working save located at the entrance. That way, you can still save, but there is still an extra layer of difficulty in hardcore mode.

Hey, did you notice that the vent escape minigame here has a lot in common with the Secret Boss? You have to look for someone on the monitors to hit buttons, while hitting door buttons to deal with specific animatronics. On one hand, good on them for reusing mechanics and not feeding into crunch culture too much. But also, it's kinda clever that they already taught you a bit about how to fight him long before he showed up. Edit: Also the Fazerblaster does work on Monty, I've seen you stun him with it. But yeah, after you take her ees, I think the only thing that works on Roxy is Chica's voice box.

the level 10 (and maybe 12) doors are all from beta testing, where the developers and beta testers could use them to get through the map faster, that's why they're over the maximum security level (8)

The fact that Fusion has all his years paid off of playing fnaf fan game after fan game thru out like what? 7 years or more, it’s nice to see it alls pay off for him as he is in a cracking secret after secret in this huge game with out dying in one of the hardest survival games out there for horro because there isn’t a exactly a save file he can use and yet he’s going for a 100% completed game. It’s nice to be watching since fnaf 1 came out and he played it. It really shows how much of a honor it is to be here watching his fame grow.

Wait- maybe the fact that Gregory can’t access the level 10+ doors just goes to show how Vanessa or Vanny work there and (or maybe vanny used to) Therefore they are/were a part of staff. (Doors say staff only) This is a big stretch) // that could be how they are always around the map. Just like you said, Vanny was supposed to show up more frequently and maybe then this would all make sense. But the fact that they made an actual stairwell for one of the doors shows that it was going to be possible for Gregory to gain access to lvl 10, and maybe it was taken out to follow lore and not lead people into a rabbit hole of a bunch of theories? This is kinda random and doesn’t answer much it’s just a random guess Edit: I just read over this again and I had a total stroke trying to read it lol 😂 OOH! Or maybe Vanny was pressuring Vanessa (assuming they are two different people) to let her have the security badges. Because how would she get in in the first place anyways? Maybe Vanessa let her in? And maybe if they are sisters, Vanessa felt like she had to help her sister out.

The level 12 door is hidden in basement level 1 (downstairs right by the first security office) behind a bunch of boxes, unfortunately you have to glitch through the boxes to get to it and its down a corridor. My guess is at the very least, level 12 is going to be dlc content because nothing loads if you can get to it . Hopefully we get answers soon and hopefully there's interesting lore behind them! (Maybe a vanny/Vanessa dlc which would make sense as she would be the most likely to have high security clearence)

The halls the door leads you to are not in the same loading zone... This could be something done for the sake of memory management, preventing the game from lagging more than it has already. Adding to it is the ability to even open the doors. At a glance, they need to polish the game more before they incorporate level 10 shortcuts.
