If a good chunk of those concerned sounding voice lines are actually in the game then that’s a pretty good implication that Vanny is either some psychotic split personality while Vanessa is genuinely good or Vanny is walking around posing as Vanessa at some points in security breach (considering how we got the whole Michael Afton revelation a few games ago, I’m willing to believe the latter option)

Vanny and Vanessa are definitely the same person. There are too many hints. In that ending where she looks down at Gregory from the Pizzaplex, she's looking at him and her body as a spirit now trapped in the Pizzaplex, just like the spirits of the children.

@@calzoneyed I don’t bet on the fact that there’s a lot of hints pointing to one outcome. FNAF is no stranger to the use of red herrings and there’s pieces of evidence (like the interview tapes) that hint at the opposite. Hence why the fire ending could just as easily point to the contrary as well (cuz it’s not a FNAF game without confusing vague theory bait and loose ends).

Vanessa, clearly very distressed: "No. I can't find him. It won't be like the last one!" I believed from the start Vanessa was a good character, and this only solidifies it. Someone is talking to her. Someone we can't see or hear or in any way detect. Someone... living in her head, perhaps? Like maybe a virus? Glitchtrap could be turning her into Vanny, but there are times where she's "lucid" and trying to help Gregory. She understands something is wrong with her, but not to the extent of being a child murderer. She knows something is up. She knows this kid is here and will be murdered if she doesn't find him. Unfortunately... usually, if she finds the kid, they _are_ murdered. Earlier in the game, a collectible can be found describing how Vanessa found it strange the wind-up Music Man toys were stolen, but there wasn't a sign of entry or anything of the like. Perhaps she isn't aware of when she's Vanny. After all, the little Music Man chases Gregory through the vents and patrols said vents, perhaps searching for little children in places too small for Vanny to crawl through.

See, this is what fnaf security breach should've been. The original story should've ended with the 6th game. And then this should've been about a new story and completely new antagonist. That could've worked. And Vannesa should've been on our side. It wouldve been so nice to finally have a friend thats, you know HUMAN. Plus there could've been so many interactions between Vannesa and Gregory. And idk, Vannesa was being controlled by Vanny. Just kill William already. The plot is so old.

Wait... I think the Vanessa that we just met might be the fake one? Cause Vanny is using her illusion discs and in her unused voice lines, it implies that the real one is not present in fnaf sb. The fake one wants to destroy Freddy, then replace Monty as the lead while the real one decides to save Freddy according to the voicelines.

Yay! Finally a person who brings up the mind control disks! I was thinking Vanny used the discs to mess with people's minds. That's why the screen goes fuzzy and weird when she gets close to Gregory. She might be Vanessa, but controlled by Glitchtrap. There are times when Glitchtrap takes control directly (or as directly as possible) and becomes Vanny. Other times, it's Vanessa in control. She's aware there's a virus in her head, but not quite aware of what it's doing. She knows there's a killer on the loose. Heck, maybe she knows _he_ exists. Just like how Freddy said he didn't want to dig in a certain place, she had no choice despite wishing against it. When she's herself, everything is normal. when Glitchtrap takes over, she's Vanny and everything warps as she uses the mind control disc to warp Gregory's perception of reality.
