The practical effects in this movie are second to none. You can barely tell the difference between the stunt performers and the animatronic puppets.

A lot of the shots of the animatronics in this are better and scarier than the ones one the movie. I think they should have had more wide shots of them moving

They couldn't do something like that in the movie, wide shots just opens more breaches to more human movements appearing, like too much walking in the suit could lead to a non-robotic walking.
