If I was the IG coach I wouldn't even waste a pick on Irelia in the first round. Let the over-confident Caps play Irelia again then counter-pick him and destroy his mental. And if FNC refuses to pick Irelia at all, then MAYBE consider taking her with the last pick. TheShy/Rookie have an insane champ pool so it's not like they needed to be worried about being banned out. If you look at IG's ban-picks for the entire series, they actually weren't confident about dominating the series. They played safe meta comps with late-game potential in every game, as if they're playing against KT. And somehow they managed to stomp FNC early every game and end the series in record time. The skill difference between the two teams was unbelievable.

I've seen better Urgot play at low ELO. First off, this Spellbook craze has to go, Grasp or Press is so much better on him, and second, you have to respect your lane position, you can't always be constantly pushed in...he didn't even farm minions properly a few times with his Q nor did he manage movespeed properly with W-cancels. Bwipo is a legend no doubt but this is not a series anyone should study on Urgot, that's for sure.

I'm not going to agree that Urgot vs Irel/Gragas is an auto-loss, not even a little bit, especially if you take Grasp and get fat and manage the lane properly. I shouldn't be seeing missed Purge-cancels or missed last hits at this level at the last stage of Worlds. I respect Bwipo to pieces but he has a lot to learn on Urgot, that's all I can say. I've beaten Irelias before as an Urgot. Could I beat TheShy? Probably not - but I wouldn't be afraid to try. Urgot is not that bad a matchup against Irelia at all, but you only win if you dodge her stuns and any ganks, and this build was uninspired too - generally I go Triforce against an Irelia in the Korean style, though I was doing it even before they were. Cleaver is so, so overrated on him, I only build it anymore versus the hardest of tanks (Garen, Nasus etc.), otherwise it's Triforce or Death's Dance first. The pros are fantastic but there are times I feel like they get WAY too locked into the "best build" or the "right meta".

​@@Falkner94 Bwipo wasn't just saving his Q for survival purposes. He was looking for an all-in opportunity on Irelia. TheShy never gave him a chance. Bwipo's build and macro strategy were too confident, it assumes he and Caps could both win their lanes with early help from Lee Sin. The reality is they were significantly inferior to their opponents and should have played a macro around Rekkles/Hylissang. Broxah fell behind because he tried to save an Urgot top, which should never have been necessary. By the time he finally got to Lv 6 it was too late to gank bot.
