Oh boy it’s time for this episodes one shot! Oh quick disclaimer, this one shot is very headcanon heavy and is probably not OLT lore accurate. - The Storm We enter the scene with a familiar face. Pico the former mercenary, now FBI agent was stuck. Or rather chained to the deepest parts of his ravaged mind. The sky was covered in dim grey clouds that showered intense rain, the ocean was filled with violent waves and water darker than the abyss. And the only thing keeping Pico above it all was the small rocky platform he was chained to. He stared quietly at the ground beneath him, having exhausted himself with shouts and screams just moments earlier. Slowly he lifted his head up to look at his gun that was teetering on the edge of the platform, threatening to fall into the water and be lost to the sea. Pico had tried to reach for it, he tried so many times. But the chains on his arms and legs were so tight and constricting he had no hope of ever reaching it. This rendered Pico powerless to do anything but sit there and suffer alone. And he HATED that He HATED being stuck here He HATED the freezing rain He HATED the constant whispers in his ears He HATED that his body was being used to cause unknown amounts of carnage He HATED that the people he cared about could be dead And he absolutely *HATED* that lime headed fucker! Pico bawled his hands into fists. His nails dug into his skin so much that it began drawing blood. If he ever got out of here he swore he’d make that bastard pay for everything! If he ever got out he’d find him and pump so full of fucking led he’d vomit out his organs! *IF HE EVER GOT OUT HE’D…* HE WOULD… He would… he…he… He was so tired… Pico’s body slumped as his arms fell limp. Pico sucked in a deep and harsh breath. There was no point in getting angry. Thrashing around had done nothing to help him before. So all Pico could do was wait and hope an opening made itself present. As much as Pico detested the idea, he had no choice. So Pico waited… and waited… and waited. And would continue to wait for a long time. Hoping that his opening to free himself appeared. And one day it did. It was subtle but not subtle enough to hide from Pico. He felt the chains loosen a bit. The feeling was so bizarre that Pico had to do a double take to make sure he wasn’t deluding himself. Pico looked towards his gun again and began reaching out for it. And to his surprise he was comfortably closing the distance. But it didn’t last for long as sharp pain shot through his arms as the chains tried to pull him back. Despite this Pico continued to push forward, inching his was closer and closer. He had to close his eyes and grit his teeth as the pain continued to rapidly increase. It felt like his arms would threaten to rip off. But still he kept going and going and going for what felt like agonizingly long seconds. Until he felt it… the end of his gun touching his hand. And slowly he grabbed it with his fingers and carefully he pulled it towards him, until it was on his lap. Pico took in a deep sigh. He did it… he finally did it. But Pico couldn’t celebrate just yet. For while he had a vague plan to escape, there was no guarantee that it’d work or even lead to his escape. But with no other options Pico aimed his gun at the target he had in mind. Whatever the outcome would be He just hoped it was worth it. - Sorry if this was a bit confusing. But in case an explanation is needed, I have this headcanon that everyone has a unique mindscape terrain. Like how BF’s in discharge was a mountainy terrain. But for Pico’s I had it as a raging ocean. The outcome for the week will remain as canon of course but I thought this would make it more interesting.

This is definitely interesting, and I DO LOVE THE IDEA OF PICOS MIND terrain, It might be canon now lol

OK, I'm going to try to come up with some for the other characters. For skid and pump, I feel like they would have inverted versions of the same space. Like what skid would see as red, pump would see being cyan. As for what that space is, I picture something of a haunted castle. GF's , I picture being like an icy cliffside (seeing as how they're demons, and you know how h*ll is usually depicted) DD I picture having a deep pit for his, since he's usually on top, and with what I'm going for, it flips the script on some key part of their life. I'll add more as I come up with them, but this is all i've got for now.

It seems to me that a good option for depicting Pico’s subconscious during corruption would be the groundhog day of Cassandra’s attack on the school. Only Pico would not be able to effectively resist the attackers (weapons are inaccessible/all bullets fly past/enemies are invulnerable or something else like that) and would constantly die from Cassandra or her gang.

I'm really hoping Mearest puts up a good fight here. OG Mearest barely does anything, and Reimagined Mearest's last song has her getting absolutely stomped in like a 30 second period.

Looks like Mearest is finally being put to the real test.. I wonder if she'll actually win or gain the upper hand against Pico in this week, seeing as Pico looks to already be weakened at the end of the song. Also Pico's sprite design looks really good!
