stupid fanmade lore: It was just a normal day, Dog Man and Petey were chatting at the Shark Shack (or at least trying to bc dog man basically cant communicate), when Petey's Dad stumbles upon them to cause some trouble. Petey and his dad argued while Dog Man just watched. Soon into the argument though, Petey's Dad was pierced right through the chest with what seemed to be a splotch of D@rkn€s$, corrupting him. Petey and Dog Man were of course surprised and horrified by the sight, and soon Petey's Dad came out...*but he wasn't the same.* After a few minutes of battling, Petey's Mom came in, and Petey was very confused, but sad at seeing her again but in a different state.. Dog Man joined in the battle, but found Petey semi-corrupted. Soon after, Petey most likely got corrupted entirely and Dog Man ran away.
