I like both, I just wish they kept the old idle of Mickey shaking that starts like halfway into the song. It adds a whole lot of good elements that lead perfectly into unknown suffering. I like both versions, but the first one is slower and gives more of a chance to see Mickey slowing going insane, and it’s more eerie.

The Old Ones look nice and while I do prefer the new style. I can understand why some may see it as a little worse. BF looks like he been changed to look more cute than what he originally was. And while Mickey looks more expressive, it doesn't look like he is going insane anymore, and he keeps the same look instead of tensing up and shaking after the beginning segment, it kinda ruins it as this song is mean't to be a transition to Unknown Suffering

I like the old sprites because theres more going on and you can see mickey getting more insane throughout. That moment of silence where you can see him shaking is very unsettling. In the new one its just one set of sprites and nothing else.

Old definitely better. On all three songs including Battered. Old Dejection sprites were much better, like the new right sprite looks way too goofy. In the old he actually looks sad. Plus the pace is way too fast in the second half to the point it messes up my favorite part of the song.

To me it really doesn't matter because both are good in their own ways, but just rewatching the video over for the second time and pausing each moment to analyze both songs, I personally like the old one better just of the slow pacing and how depressing it sounded. But then again I also like the new one just from how fast and crazy it was going, kind of wished it transitioned from the old one to the new one after Mickey laughs and starts losing his sanity. That will actually make this give people a ride through this song. Also for the sprites, sadly I liked the new one just because how Mickey's expression is saying "This is fine." And how well it will fit for both songs, might I say it looks better to me also. If anything on how to make it better is have him go from being sane to crazy repeatedly right after the song picks up just almost like the older sprite. Again, this is my opinion and what I think on how it could be better in the future.

I like new dejection. The sprites in new is certainly refined. I do see tho why many like old for certain aspects of the song, from the sprites to the song itself. Perhaps they could've kept the song slow like old and as it continues got faster like new. the new sprites, while amazing, should also have featured mickey going insane instead of letting the cutscene show it. I do think the extra long notes before the laugh should've been kept tho, it varied the beginning well

I like the old song better because of the juxtaposition between the slow pace and the abundance of notes, such as in 1:38. I think that makes it feel like time is slowing down, as it often does when doing something you don't truly want to (Mickey poisoning himself, in this case). It feels like he is hesitant to continue with his decision, waiting for something to convince him not to go through with it.

So like the diffrents from old and new mickey is the new has bigger eyes and little longer smile and the face look more pacted i might say and the nose is a little chunkier and the buttons for mickeys pants are much more bigger and mickeys arms the elbows are more sharped and while bf old bf has a longer right arm while bf new has small arms and not going to the hat itself then bf new eyes look more straight and near each eye and some changes to the face are bf mouth,head,arms,maybe shoes? The old version is way better. Mickey has those long downward pitching notes during BF's turn, Mickey's idle and poses actually change halfway through the song and the tempo stays the same throughout so the listening experience is better.
