@@ShortFormProductions The Army has many great opportunities. But the lessened bureaucracy of the Air Force (they're smaller) is a better fit for me. special operations, from a non-SOF perspective, includes a lot ... for example, the Marines used to have MEU SOC, which are Marine Expeditionary Units Special Operations Capable (they are now called Maritime Special Purpose Forces, or MSPF... that means they train to do regular infantry things like raids, assaults, etc but they train for SOC for things like NEOs (noncombatant evacuation operations), amphibious raids, security operations, humanitarian assistance, and TRAP (tactical recovery of aircraft/personnel).

How does SF feel about support personel being able to wear the green beret because its a part of the units uniform? When I was stationed in Germany we had a guy that was a medic that worked in the hospital but he had came from Ft Bragg as support from a SF group and he wore the green beret and unit patch from his prior unit for like 6 months months after he got to Germany and he kept telling everyone he was SF even though he didn't even have jump wings, just goes to show you stolen valor can happen while active duty.
