This works well. before my adjustment of this process My voltages were out by so many millivolts . once i captured as per instructions supplied from the scope ..Then press Menu button / USB connection / tap screen on right like a computer brings up all adjustments if you reset & ok it goes back to original settings , however press restore it remembers your setup ( which is helpful as takes a little time to sort ).. works well for a small inexpensive oscilloscope unit .. i used version V0.025g firmware

The creator of the LOADER program promised that when he returns from vacation, he will add an item to the program for backing up and restoring calibration data. Which saves a lot of problems.

@@atlanko1 Thank you again. for the update my 025g is working great .. like the idea to boot from current version and can go back to basic Version if needed, please keep this format of booting .. Russ

Hi Atlan Any chance of fine tuning of our 1013D could be looked at ? ( chat out side of eevblog) 1. Averaging Mode and Noise Reduction Averaging as you are aware is a useful tool for cleaning up noisy signals, and we have within our 1013D oscilloscope 1 x averaging mode which helps in this regard. However, the number of waveforms used for averaging can affect how "clean" the signal looks. could we add an "Average Mode 2" to enhance the existing mode, it may produce an even cleaner signals. 2. Interpolation and Sample - I mention interpolation in the context of constructing a continuous waveform as your aware interpolation algorithms (like linear or sine interpolation) are used to "fill in the gaps" between sampled points when the sample rate is lower than desired for a given frequency. Limitations with our 1013D: hitting a cap at 12 interpolation points or are constrained by the scope's sample rate, this can affect the resolution of high-frequency signals. I understand this is some work to look at Budget scopes like the 1013D typically have lower maximum sample rates, which limits how many points can be captured in a short time. As your aware our 1013D Scope says 100 MHz bandwidth, for example, the sample rate should ideally be at least 10 times that, but budget models ( Ours) fall short of this. Summary of Potential Improvements: More calibration points: Adding calibration steps across different voltage ranges could improve overall accuracy. Enhanced averaging mode: Adding a second, more aggressive averaging mode (e.g., Average Mode 2) or dynamic averaging could provide a cleaner signal when needed. Higher interpolation or sample rates: If the hardware allows, increasing the interpolation points or improving the sample rate would give more accurate waveform reconstructions, especially for higher frequency signals. Thanks R

I've read a lot of information on the site and there's such a mess in my head, so what's the actual sequence of installing the firmware.
