VOICE PICKING:
Voice picking is a picking method used in warehouses and distribution centers to fulfill B2C e-commerce orders for customers. It involves using an intelligent voice agent and speech recognition software to guide warehouse associates to specific locations in order to pick the correct items for each order.
Workers wear a headset and microphone that connects to a central system, which guides them through the picking process.
The system provides workers with verbal instructions on where to go in the warehouse, what items to pick, and how many to pick.
Workers confirm their selections by speaking into the microphone, which registers their responses in real-time.
The system then provides the next set of instructions, and the process continues until the order is complete.
Voice-picking is an efficient method for order fulfillment because it allows workers to keep their hands free while they pick items, which speeds up the process and reduces errors. It also eliminates the need for workers to constantly refer to paper-based instructions or handheld devices, which can be time-consuming and cumbersome.
CUBISCAN:
Cubiscan 210-M systems improve overall productivity, reduce the number of touches for each outbound shipment, and cut costs in transaction times. Each package is sent down the conveyor belt to which the system uses advanced sensors and software to scan each unique QR code, capture data of its dimensions (length, width, and height), and calculate its weight. With all of the collected data, the system then calculates the shipping carrier with the best rates and the labels are automatically printed and applied to each package. The packages are then sorted down various conveyor belts according to their specific shipping carrier.
