Question: I have been facing off for a few years now but started learning while playing in adult leagues so I don't really know all the rules. I tried searching for this but wasn't able to find an answer. Last night I was winning most of my draws so the other FO guy was letting me win the clamp would would just start hacking on my arms and even a few times would just line backer try to bull me over. I am fairly certain this isn't allowed that they have to play the ball but the ref said he didn't know so I want to have this information in case we play this team again I can provide the rule on this. Thanks again for the video, you have been really helpful!

Greg Hicks very refreshing to hear a ref admit he doesn’t know rather than make something up on the spot. However, if you are in the act of clamping the opponent can not pin down your hands or check you. Once you take your step to exit you are fair game and are seen as a field player.

How about bull rushing you off the whistle? Can the player just off the whistle just try to body check you off the ball? He we just lowering his head and trying to run me over.

got it, the word check I see you are using in both terms of stick check and body check. TY very much, loved watching you in the world games! Congrats on beating the Canadians :D.

Hey I'm going against Indian Creek and they have a power clamper so how do I win against him
@markranieri75336 жыл бұрын

Mark Ranieri ik but I try that Indian Creek power clamps and I loose every time expected for jamming

Tyler McDaniel standing Neutral grip Either Pinch n pop or quick rake done correctly would destroy a power clamper because as they rotate around the ball it opens up an easy front exit. Make sure your right elbow is bent and your balance is distributed correctly.

Hey how do you break in new heads?

I've never seen anyone use the "fish hook" and I don't see how the lift's gonna work if my opponent just properly puts his weight on his right hand. I still kinda wanna try it though.
@GregBeast326 жыл бұрын
ragestarfish no worries, you haven’t seen the hundreds of athletes who use it. And it doesn’t matter how heavy your opponents right hand is because you aren’t lifting them up, you’re pulling their hand to the side.

I wasn't trying to offend, I'm just saying it's not very popular in my country. Thanks for the reply

What about using the butt of your stick to counter this is often Often used by LSMs but can be used by regularly fogos too,
@GregBeast323 жыл бұрын
Not Against a quality FO man using SNG. By the time you swing your arm to use the butt end, he’ll be long gone.

It is illegal to kick, step on, or place ANY OTHER BODY PART to his crosse or the CROSS OF THE OPPONENT. For the first option, with your opponent driving toward you, do you need to be careful not to violate this rule. What if your opponent's crosse slips down to your hand? Or, when you turn to box out - aren't you are turning your whole body into your opponent's cross?
@GregBeast326 жыл бұрын
Naya Taylor the crosse is considered the head. You are not allowed to touch your opponent’s head in anyway at all. You can not place anything down on their shaft holding their shaft down. It is 100% legal to lift the shaft and/or left hand.
