People seemed to enjoy the previous video, so I did a similar thing with my other favourite track from the album. The solo and final chorus never quite sounded how I wanted them to, but the finished product was a lot of fun to play.

Spanish Sahara is one of my 'cry and scream it all out in silence' songs and I want to thank you for doing it justice. This is a few years late and I see that you haven't uploaded in a year so I hope you're doing alright man. I'll be here waiting for that next upload.

It really is one of those really special songs, and I'm so happy you think I did it justice. I didn't realise just how many people loved this song when I made this cover so it's been awesome to learn how much the original means to a lot of people. I'm still working on some music don't worry! Just takes a lot longer these days unfortunately. At some point I want to do another loop video and hopefully some more Foals too. Hope you're doing good too!

Thank you! Sorry for the late reply, the full list of stuff used to record can be found in the description, but the main piece of equipment is a Lexicon Alpha audio interface. I got it a while ago so there's comparable stuff for a bit cheaper now like the Behringer UM2 or UMC22 which would definitely allow you to record guitar straight into the laptop.

Hey! Thanks for the kind comment! For this song I'm not actually using an amp, its just a generic clean amp emulated by my multi-FX pedal, so the settings don't really line up too well with a normal amp. The best tips I can give for this tone would be that delay and a long reverb are essential, and a compressor is useful too for getting the notes to sustain nice and long. Experiment with the different pickup positions and the volume/tone controls on your guitar until you get a nice round and mellow sound, you don't want anything harsh (at least at the start. I like to roll volume and tone up as the song progresses to lift it a little at the end) Hopefully that made sense, feel free to ask more questions if it didn't! :)

Thank you! It's been a while so I don't remember exactly but yep it'll be mostly reverb and don't forget delay 🙂 Also at the start of the song I have the tone knob on the guitar very low and increase it as the song goes on to add more treble when moving from the slow mellow parts to the staccato Foals riffy parts.

Hi! Sorry for late reply. Do you mean how are the layers being saved and built up? I'm using a Boss RC-30 looper pedal. You can stomp it to record a phrase and play it back again :)

@@techmode9716 Nice pedal! The RC-30 is a dedicated looping pedal, so it has a lot of functionality just for that. The ME-80 is mostly focused on effects but I think it does also have a 1 track looper built in, so you could definitely use that!
