This is truly the Eagle equivalent of looking into each others eyes cooking and having dinner together, then looking at the stars on the porch swing holding hands and discussing life.. then cuddling on the couch discussing what to watch .. light tickling .. falling asleep together.. this is actually all that.. in their world.. it might look like two eagles organizing a nest.. but this is definitely the Eagle equivalent of a romantic evening together. Interesting that they are getting the nest all set up. They both did this before the mating began last time and before Jackie laid eggs before. It is like they are preparing again!!!! They don't usually do this unless they are on the down low that eggs are on the way....hmmm could it be? Baby eggs on the way? Shadow does seem to be quite intent on bringing sticks like crazy!!! Wow they are really busy!!! I don't think I have seen these two together for so long at the nest together shaping things. There isn't much room in there for both of them yet they made it work. Something is going down!

They look so sweet together on the nest. There is a real intense energy between them as they share the nest bowl. What a power couple! 🦅🦅 There's a moment 19:13:40 when Jackie glances over at Shadow with a gaze I've never seen before. I swear, her eyes look filled with love and tenderness. Shadow is too busy nestoring to notice, lol! ❤❤ Once Jackie moves and, then, flies away, Shadow is right behind her. He seems esp sensitive to her right now. Such a beautiful and beautifully bonded pair!

I agree. It seems as if Shadow has still been ready, but Jackie wasn't returning to the nest except to steal his coot, lol. Jackie coming in and doing nestorations is a very good sign. We need to see more of this behavior!! Hopeful here too!

@@AngieTX the way they went about their nest work got me as much as all the rest it's a small space for both to work in, so there was bound to be some bumping, but the way they were rubbing flanks 80+% of the time they were at it sure looked like both were feeling some warm fuzzies about the whole thing

How wonderful! I was afraid to hope for this behavior. I have found my emotions with 3 nests I have been watching this year were causing me to much stress. I had to limit my watching and carefully monitor reports about the nests. All three have had tragedies that are the way of nature. So for the last month I do checks of each cam about 3 times a day for just a few minutes. If I start getting emotional I close the cam. I have issues in life that are causing me stress that have to be managed. My husband and I are old and have major health issues. I'm very limited in energy because of my health. So I'm finding ways to manage. Now with this positive nesting behavior I feel hope J&S will try for a second brood.
