yeah i realy hope that one day you will have the chance to hear them not in a video but in real, i had the chance i have no words for it, it is just crazy. sorry for my bad english i am from Belgium. i use to have American made speaker realy great KLIPCSH but i change them for some FOCAL Aria 948. Do you see the amp in the back of this video it is a NIAM NAP S1 746W into 8 ohms, 1450W into 4 ohms, 9kW burst power into 1 ohm 101kg (each) 200000 $ just for the AMP the whole system must go for more than 500 000 $ with the speaker THIS IS NUTS

They sound great, recorded into a microphone, through whatever processing equipment, uploaded to KZbin, and compressed using their software, to my Samsung phone with a tiny mono speaker then directly to my ears. I can really hear the quality and depth of these quarter ( in America ) million dollar Focal speakers. 😂😂😂. Unless you hear them in person why even comment on how they sound? They are for the 1% of the world which you and I are not. It's great to aspire to these but... stop flexing. Nobody here is buying these. 🤥

Not sure if you guys are reading this but as a member of a lot of hifi forums and an owner of Utopias, the neutral persons stance on these speakers consistently being rated as "poor" is driven by the coupling with Naim. Time and time again I find people disliking the sterile performance based on this pairing. Please consider hooking up to something else!

@@Shelldamage Hey Shell, obviously depends on the sound you like. Going older and very neutral, with serious drive, would be Pass X600 or X1000. This isn't really a speaker you should buy without demo!

@@TimothyJFLd Just was curious about the opinion of others about the best amp for the Grande Utopia; was reading very often that the naim statement is not the best choice... and I also want to know, why! Two Michi M8 could be a perfect choice. Had the opportunity to listen to the grande utopia in germany at the "Highend" a couple of years ago. The sound was adorable!

I cannot conceive of how you could ever justify spending hundreds of thousands of dollars, euros, pounds on a pair of speakers. No matter how good the tech and how wonderful the design, at the end of the day, sound is not magic, they're still outputting the same thing: pressure waves of air, comprising just two components: amplitude and frequency. That's it. Beyond a few thousand max you're just paying exponentially increasing prices for ever diminishing returns. It's just one big mind f-k.

The Hart Audio D&W Aural Pleasure is 65000$/pair... 5M is for the Gold finish, you can dot the same with an Utopia. The Transmission Audio Ultimate can't fit in a standard house room... You'll need to buy a theater just for them...

I know this is off topic but If you do your research look into IASCA or USAC car audio world competition. You will notice the top 10 winners will not have kenwood for speakers. As a matter of fact you will see Focal at the top of the list followed by Kicker and JBL. So if your not deaf or blind from both ears at least listen to a set professionally installed with a descent equipment.
