Thank you for your review video. I also purchased this headphones a few months ago, and I have a MM-500 as well. I think Lensys is a very good closed-back headphone (except for its high price). In addition to the features mentioned in the video, compared to other closed-back headphones, its frequency response curve is relatively flat (based on my experience with SoundID Reference), without the high-frequency peak like that of Beyerdynamic. It has ample bass response (probably around 60Hz), while its super-high frequency (probably above 10kHz) is relatively less. The detail resolution is not as good as that of the MM-500, and the noise cancellation is just average. I'm planning to buy a pair of ST6 TRIO6. Could you tell me whether you are using the ST6 or the older SM6 TRIO6 BE or 11 BE?

Thanks for your comment! I also agree with your notes. It kind of does nothing amazingly but does everything good enough (which means it could be your only headphone if that is your situation)! I have the original Trios without the tweeter grill and only one focus mode (with red wood siding). I dont really feel like I need to upgrade anytime soon. If/when I do, I'll probably go up a step to something like the PMC6-2 or something like that.

Hi again, Jim from Vancouver. Excellent review, thanks greatly for going to the trouble. Lenzy's aren't easy to get in Canada but if I have to I'll import a pair; hopefully before the dreaded Trump tariffs kick in. Best regards and HNY!!

Hey Jim, thanks for your comment! Theres someone on Reverb.com selling them for 599. If you put it in your cart and leave it there for a few days, he might offer you an even better price…at least that’s what happened with me. Good luck!

I got these when they came out, I don’t have open backs I been thinking about getting the mm500 , should I have both or keep one over the other
@fillianaire3338 күн бұрын
I would do both if you can. They compliment each other really well. I dont love the mm500 without EQ. so If you dont plan on EQing, maybe try them out first somewhere. With EQ they are incredible. If the m500 are too pricey (check used, u can get them for around $1200), maybe look the the mm100 which seem to be similar, but with less detail... for around $400.

@ roughly what are you doing with the EQ?
@fillianaire3338 күн бұрын
@@SebastianSaint-b2d I'm using Realphones. I'm partially using their mm500 setting, plus a little of my own. If you can only do a simple EQ, a low shelf of a few db between +100-200Hz and a high shelf of a few db at around 4k would probably be enough. Basically it's lacking some upper mid brightness/openness and some overall lows. Of course this is all to personal taste. Some like it as is! edit: I'm also eq'ing somewhat to match my monitors so it'll be more of an even transition going back and forth (again, this will vary depending on your speakers, room, personal sound signature that you like or are used to

I got the Spirit Pros some yrs ago when they came out. The way they deteriorated left a bad mark with me. For $350 especially not cool. They recently made it to the trash as the plastic on them from within the first year broke on one side and then not long the other. I love Focal stuff though.

Yeah, I actually got those when they first came out and I hated just about everything about them and sent them back within like three days. These are another ball game.

@ good to know. I ordered a pair as it seems the consistency of feedback is saying they will work well.
