Did he said great quality control. Not so. I just purchased the focal scala utopia evo lll. Waited 6 months because of the finish which is natural noyel. While waiting the distributor loan me a demo scala white finish. After awhile listening to it there was rattling noise coming from the inside of the cabinet only on the right speaker. So the local technician came and open the woofers and the crossover to tighten over 10 screws inside the cabinet. The noise was gone. After a few months my new Scala arrived. After setting it up, I listen to it and had same rattling noise coming from both speakers. So the technician came again and did the same thing tighten all screws, believe me is not an easy job to do. After a few days listening to it the rattling noise still there but this time it was in the tweeter section which the technician could not reach those loose screw because was no space to put through ur hand in. I lost my patients and told them to return the scala’s, Iam an audiophile for 30 years, owned many entry and mid range, used, new and have never had any issues at all. We talking about a high end speakers here. I even emailed Focal and the reply was ur distributor handle it. Not even an apology. They did email the distributor saying they will replace me with another but I’m not going to wait another few more months. I ended up purchasing the Estelon XB diamond ll and have no issues whatsoever. Focal best step ur quality control. I’m sure they couldn’t care less about my comments as they are a big player in this industry and I’m just another unimportant end user.
