The Yeomanry has always been cool. That's where we always put Keep on the Borderlands. Fun place and close enough to "Beyond the Crystal Caves" to meld the two stories together.

My paladin (3rd level) adventured with two NPCs in B2. By the end of the module he was a Pal 6/Clr 7 (there is that much treasure). He sent his henchmen in Return to B2. He played an absent mentor (see Gandalf). At the end he was a Pal 7/Clr 8. It was fun playing the absent mentor to my henchmen (2 players played two of the henchmen). A real privilege. I have AD&D 1st Edition down to a science. A fun game if you know the class powers & rules.

A little off topic -- regarding Geoff -- I am 1 bazillion percent certain that back in the day (Carl Sargent GH era) I saw a pronunciation guide pronouncing it 'Geee off.' Ever since I discovered your channel (a few weeks ago) and heard your pronunciation of Geoff (commonly called 'jeff') I've been going through my old GH stuff, starting with Sargent's books, but even looking at my LGG and the old 1st Edition stuff. .... Does anyone know if I've gone completely crazy in my old days (We Grognards are *old*.) or if there is indeed some module or GH setting book somewhere that pronounces it with two syllables? THANKS in advance!

Serious question, I always pronounced Iuz as Ooze myself. Is there any an interview or something where Gary said it? Also was it Gary that created Iuz? Great vids. And where on earth did you get that awesome Grehawk curtain?

I got that pronunciation direct from Luke Gygax, so I think that's as close to the source as I can get.

Been involved since the mid 70s, I also heard it was pronounced I-OOZE and that it was a backhanded descriptive commentary on a certain DM and that it came from Dave Arneson orginally. At any rate, The pronounciation is apparently correct.
