Great review! How is its DAC? I wonder if 2i2 4th Gen can replace a cheap DAC and headphone amp.

I've been going back and forth about getting this interface or not (as I've never owned one b4) and you sold me on it with your clear detailed explanations! Thanks for a great informative video and I've used your link on amazon. Look forward to checking out other cool videos on your channel.

Hey man, I just wanna say just searched up the new Focusrite and your video was at the top and I love the content man. Question for you though, I currently have the Focusrite 2i2 3rd gen and it's pretty good but the problem I currently have is with my piano. I'm not sure if your familiar with the Nord stage 3 but I use that piano and run it through my focurite to merge Ableton as a synth sound but my problem is that the Nord always clips and it sounds distorted at times. so I was wondering if you had any input I was thinking of upgrading from the third GEN to the fourth GEN but I'm not sure if that would fix it. I think if I'm not mistaken the fortune has a new clipping function that will make my piano sound fine but just wanted to hear your thoughts:)

Which ine is good for blasting your studio monitors/sub with zero distortion? Edit: bought the 2i2 4th gen

I cannot concur with your statement. I used to rock with focus right? So tough. Ever since I got a real workstation that thing would never stay in sync with the sample rate of my music in different programs and to start buzzing and then I realized it was the cause of my i9 crashing

Man, what a nice video, super clean and straight to the point. Thanks for the information! Here's my question: are the output jacks on the back mandatory for good quality? Like, I have a really nice pair of speakers connected to my PC. Can I use those as an output, through the USB-C? Let’s say the audio from my guitar goes into the Focusrite, gets sent to my PC, and then plays back like any other sound. Or do I need to connect studio monitors directly to the Focusrite for output? Sorry for any mistakes, english is not my main language as you can see lol Cheers from Brazil

Cool, I just ordered one! I can't wait! Are the Massive and Autotune software free trials or are they the full versions/licenses?
@thozimusic4 ай бұрын
That’s awesome man! Yes both are full versions, however with the autotune, they give you a more limited version of it(which is still great!), but you can use it for as long as you like

hey, I am just starting at recording guitar and voice and I think I will most likely get this new Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th gen. I am happy to buy it from your links :) I have a couple of questions if you don't mind me asking. Do you actually recommend the headphones and mic that comes with the "studio" combo suite? Is it a good deal for the lil extra money? and second, is there any YT series (yours or someone else's) I could watch to learn more on how to use this piece of equipment (remember I am an absolute noob on all this stuff... I mostly have played guitar by myself or live, but never actually done any recording, production, etc.). and finally, any YT series on how to use the SW packages that come with the Focusrite interface? (the ones you use said you use the most?) Many thanks in advance!

Does this interface work with MacBooks or does it start glitching? i didnt get that part.

The problem I've been having with my 2i2 4th gen is the static scratchy noise when turning the volume knob which sometimes causes panning issues

Wanna know what’s crazy? I had the same problem but only with my 3rd gen, I assumed it was just my unit cause I had dropped it. I haven’t had the problem with the 4th gen but I’m starting to think that maybe this could be a Focusrite thing 🧐

No not too good I've used it I can't get it to work proper for nothing I've done everything they asked me to do. I've updated it I've reset buffer rates I've done everything it's just a piece of junk. When I have to spend more time figuring out what the hell the problem is instead of creating my creativeness goes out the window so to me this product is useless because if I got to sit here and be an engineer instead of a musician then fuck this piece of shit.
