Another advantage of the clarett is that line 1 and 2 output have anti thump technology to prevents pops from the speaker if they are on before you turn on the interface. Normally without this, if your speakers are on, then you turn on interface, it will make the speakers pop which may not be good

This Scarlett sounds way better than my expensive midrange interface from 2007. I still could use it until last year.

This is my curse… haven’t heard that song in a minute. Noticed the difference immediately in the vocal test alone

Really liked video. My hd500x i think alsonhas spdif. I wanted to be able to have phantom on one input only so i coukd have condenser mic and rinnon mic on at same time. Scarlwt cant

it was more because your plugged a pre into a pre. instead of a direct line input few interfaces hav the capability to bypass the pre have to chk specs

Did you ever make a video about using clarett with amp modelers like axe fx?
@dannylharper68893 жыл бұрын
Thanks for this I have several interfaces including my first one the 6i6 I thought the same, the preamps are weak.. I have to crank almost all the way up.. My Apollos blow them away. I also have 3 Focusrite 18i20 and 2 octopres.. I now use the 6i6 in my office for my laptop only

Do you use the air mode for recording guitar?
@LucasLeCompteMusic7 ай бұрын
I don't use it when I record because I like to control brightness I inside my DAW using EQs. Air is nice though if something is really dark sounding going in. It can brighten it up nicely.

@@LucasLeCompteMusicI recorded amps sims with Air mode on and lead guitar definately sounds piercing. I just did it once as I am new to the interface and I really loog for pointerss.

Any difference with headphones? Just bought 250ohm and wonder if clarett would be better.

Why are the Scarletts terrible at recording DI?
@LucasLeCompteMusic2 жыл бұрын
It is just the converters that they use are on the lower end, which is why they are able to keep the units themselves on the cheaper end would be my guessd.

@@LucasLeCompteMusic so it affects dynamics, sound or ?
@LucasLeCompteMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@jorgeguitar2540 It effects everything that use the front preamps that goes from analog to digital. It doesnt really effect the SPDIF connections all that much so it already is digtal.

@@LucasLeCompteMusic do you think other inexpensive interfaces are better at recording di? Like an Audient Evo?
@LucasLeCompteMusic2 жыл бұрын
@@jorgeguitar2540 I honestly dont know. If you really want good DIs a DI box would be the way to go.

its design not the clarett being newer. Its a better preamp design
