I own a Beringer UM2 and I'm considering the Scarlet because it reduces the Buzz sound significantly in the clean comparision, listen again with headphones and you will notice it too.
@JoelSebastianMoreno
@JoelSebastianMoreno Жыл бұрын
I prefer the UM2 because feels more like "Mix ready" DI Signal, you'll cut some frecuencies at the end of the day The think is, i used to own a UM202HD who had some latency issues, and I want to record my Boss Katana right from the input. Do you notice that latency?
@KeroDean

I didn’t notice much latency, you can change the sample size if you want to reduce latency though, or if on windows try asio4all

i have question. i connected behringer to my pc, but i dont have headphone jack so i plugged headphones into pc instead. when i try to record in guitar rig it records and shows there is output sound no input sound. When i try to listen the recording again, i am unable to? am i supposed to plug headphones into the audio interface? the interface is connected to my guitar and no amp
@KeroDean
@KeroDean 3 жыл бұрын
Yes generally the headphones go into the interface, you can choose where the sound output goes through the settings in your DAW though. You can set the 'audio in' from the interface and the 'audio out' to the computer headphone if you like.

I have an old 2nd gen Solo and might consider buying a different interface some time later. I mostly use metal-oriented, extremely hot pickups (DiMarzio X2N right now), so it really is important for me: which of these 2 interfaces has a bigger headroom? I'm tired of turning down the volume on guitar all the time.
@KeroDean
@KeroDean 3 жыл бұрын
Thats a good question, I would say the Scarlett has more headroom and some other options to consider would be the Motu M2 and the Audient id4 mark 2 has heaps of headroom, very clear signal too

Hello, if I buy either one of these, would they work in a headphone / line out of a Roland FP10? I am not sure if my piano's output is stereo and if the inputs to these devices are stereo as well. I am worried if I incorrectly plug something to the INST input, the output stage of my Roland FP10 might get damaged. Any comments? Thanks!

I think the input it mono (although I'm not certain) to these interfaces but you could probably get a single headphone plug that splits into two outputs and plug into each of the two inputs on the interface getting a stereo signal

they both have two inputs, the scarlet is only 1 mic and one guitar or 2 mics, whereas the behringer is 2 of both. You can set two tracks to record both separately to their own tracks and can be edited separately.

Hey, pardon my ignorance. Is it possible to connect the Focusrite Scarlett Solo input to my amp audio output, or does it only work right with direct instruments? I'm afraid the amp output signal would be too strong for the audio input to handle. Iv'e seen people connecting the amp output to the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 inputs, but since the ports are different for these two refernces, hence the doubt. For reference, My amp is nothing fancy: a generic Epiphone Studio 10S Small
