This is a great demo. Very comprehensive and to the point. Every one of these I've played have been great. I've owned and tried many of their high end customs and I've been very impressed with these Standard instruments. It just goes to show how incredibly high their standards are. I think the same can be said for Sadowsky NYC and Metro as well. After a hiatus from Fodera (my last one was an all-black Edwards 6 that had amazing tone but weighed a ton) I have decided to join the fold once again and am expecting an Imperial Elite 5 in the coming weeks!

Great demonstration! Fodera Basses always seem to shine in the mix, there is so much nuance to that bass. Number 1, you have a great touch that’s the sound. Adding the Fodera s overtones, man I bet you could get a kick ass live sound!

i really think that Fodera is overpriced, with 4800 bucks, you can have a really nice custom Fbass, i have a VF5, amazing bass.

That is absolutely not true, I’ve owned both F bass and Fodera. I have spec’d out a high end Fbass and it was really close to a Custom Fodera! People knock Fodera all the time, but, the absolute highest caliber players are Fodera artists. Janek, victor, bona, Miller, genus, Reynolds! No one has that artist line up! The absolute best! Extremely versatile musicians, all of them. Owning a custom Fodera is like having a fingerprint, they are all unique to you. I love jazz basses, but I went with Fodera because I can own a bass I know is mine!

Agreed, Fodera definitely have a certain top shelf pedigree when it comes to pro players that consistently use their basses. Having said that, they are brutally expensive here in Canada. These Emperor Classic 5s are $7500.00 up here, but as always, you get what you pay for. I love the modern dual coil/70s super J-bass tone all in one bass, plus the preamp is crazy fantastic. Great, now I really want one again......LOL!

@@haneyhanes true but alot of these artists have moved on to other brands. Janek seems to only use mattison basses these days, bona uses his signature mark bass. Maybe you can feel the difference in them, i certainly cant hear it
