FoE Order of Leveling Attack Bonus Great Buildings

Hi Everyone, I hope you are well and please know I have not forgotten about you! Real Life has been a bit spiraling lately but I am back and this time sharing about attack bonuses for your attacking army in Forge of Empires (FoE). In this video, I share a strategy to approach leveling those Great Buildings that impact your attack bonus and ability to fight without taking as much damage or losing as many units. Enjoy!
Early Game Order:
Take Trinity to Level 10 (Zeus, CoA, CDM)
Take Traz to Level 10
*Focus on Forge Point buildings during Events
Mid Game Order:
Push Forge Point Buildings up especially Arc Level 60, Cape to Level 60, and CDM to Level 60
Take Traz to Level 32
Late Game Order:
Take Arc to Level 80
Take Traz to Level 62
Take Kraken to Level 10
Take TA to Level 10
Take AO to Level 60
Take Trinity, Kraken, TA to Level 80
Take Traz and AO to Level 100+
Take Trinity to Level 100+

All the tips I see usually say to join a guild with established members and members from all eras. I have yet to see good tips on how to grow a guild of new players. We now have 3 members with Arcs, but they're still at low levels. Getting to level 10 is a challenge and even more so to level 80.

@Melissa Sullivan I can get a video like that out with time but essentially the yggdrasil tree is the pink tree in my city. For each time you complete the Vikings settlement you earn either an upgrade for the tree or an emissary for your town hall. The tree gives more than just attack, also fps, supplies, and coins.

Melissa Sullivan settlements are frustrating but really you can take all the time you want to finish. All you sacrifice is the secondary prize and the grand prize is so good, it’s worth finishing vikings no matter how long it takes.

Missed your vids Lil! Your enthusiasm with it makes it all the better! Here's a little something I'd like to add though, I have been working on my RB (Royal Bathhouse) And at level 2 it started producing guild treasury goods. One of each from my Era so 5 total. And the Ancient Obelisk which you can get along with RB from Egypt is the same size as a shrine of knowledge, but instead of 1 FP, you get 2 FP. at max level, (Level 4) Along with 4 random goods and a maximum of 6 percent defense bonus for your attacking armies. I checked this time. It'll take awhile to get 'em, but they're really good. Dark doorways produce 3 FP which is about the same as both Sok (Shrine of Knowledge) and Ancient Obelisk combined, but it also takes more space, 3x3 instead of AO (Ancient Obelisk, not Arctic Orangery)'s 2x2, that's a 5 square difference. Hope you're doing well Lil! :)

Great topic to cover! Worth noting key level for Kraken/HC is 58. I think the next key level is 91 iirc. For the atk buildings like CoA you want an odd number so many stop at 59/61. Really worth noting that Zeus is super cheap to level later on when your CDM and AO are 80 take it to the sky. TA is very expensive but depending on your atk def from other things very necessary

I didnt know that traz gets you troops even if you havent build the troops-building completely! That is HUGE because I can control what troops I need and focus there, while at the same time dont have to worry about space cause it the building is not attached to a road! Thank you for that. Right 🤯🤩🥳 when I found out about the Traz not needing to have fully built military buildings it was a game changer! Not only for space but also for special events, I delete my military buildings when a quest asks me to build junk and then I just delete it and replace my unbuilt military building. You are absolutely allowed to have a difference in opinion! Makes the game for fun, mine is just a suggestion anyway to get everyone thinking! 🥳

I found that while getting the 3 to 10, that's 90%, but I'll get Zeus and Aachen to 69 later as 59 levels of FP for the other 30% is a lot! I got CdM up but I've been getting my attack up from other means! But I have 543/329 now with Zeus at 8 Aachen at 6! I'm now Oceanic Future, and this is the era that never ends lol. But the higher the attack the more 10FP rewards so I've been focusing on getting the attack up! But my AO is 9 lol.

I still need to check the math on bringing the trinity through the sweet spots, but it's pretty accurate. This isn't the reality. It might well be more efficient to get the Statue of Zeus to level 10 before you build the Cathedral of Aachen and building the Terracotta Army too early can also cause issues with space and goods. But it can be used as a guide and it's worth building the Terracotta Army and leveling it to at least 7 before you bring any of the trinity through the sweet spot. The Castel del Monte is actually very expensive to level, compared to the Statue of the Zeus, the forge point income you gain is also tiny, this is why it's leveled last. The Arctic Orangery is amazing at very high level, but also extremely expensive to level and only works when fighting with same age units. I don't see any point to leveling it until you have the other four all past their sweet spots. The Kraken is potentially useful, I guess. You will save some units, but by then your Alcatraz will be pumping out so many units, I don't see the point to it. It's the worst building in the game, for forge points spent and the return you get on it btw, even worse then the Castel del Monte, which comes as second worst. Guess which one is third worst... Arctic Orangery. Players that look to them for the forge point income always fall into that trap. They take more then a year to earn back the points. As an example leveling the Arctic Orangery from 6-57 takes 404 days to earn back the invested forge points. As for Alcatraz, level it of course. But 60? Higher is better, maybe you need it at 100, maybe 20 is fine for now. It depends on your situation. Either level it to level 6 when you get it or if you go beyond that make sure you are ready to get it to level 12 and beyond as 6-12 is very expensive compared to the tiny return it gives you.

This is such a helpful comment and raises so many questions.. but.. just to ask a single question, do GBs have hidden abilities? Why 71, 67, 65 / 81, 77, 75 for the trio? Why those levels specifically? I guess thats more than a single question but hopefully a single answer :)

@@bt3iscrazy Past level 11, all the attack great buildings give 1% attack for every 2 levels. This is why you keep them at an uneven level. The specific levels are just the cheapest way to get more attack. The Statue of Zeus is higher level, because it's cheaper to level. Eventually the cost evens out and then you just rotate them to level each, 2 levels at a time.

I am in a boost group where they pay their arc values (all 100+ arcs). Does the order still apply for the trio set? Like I am trying to figure out if I should do Zeus because it's cheaper or CDM because it'll help me build my FP pool quicker. They both give the same atk bonus though so not sure. All my trio buildings are sitting at 10 and about to start pushing them up.

I would do the Zeus since it's cheaper. With a higher attack bonus, you can fight more in a GBG and get more rewards. While CDM does increase fps, you'll make more in GBG than your CDM will give right now. 🎉 Do CDM after Zeus.

Okay, let me help you out. :) The word "Orangery" is pronounced like "eatery" or "cannery." It's a place that produces oranges. So you pronounce it "ORANGE-er-ee." with the first syllable stressed. The Himeji Castle is also pretty simple. The first syllable is "hee." The second syllable is "meh" (most English speakers say "may") and you can give it a little more stress than the other syllables. The final syllable is "jee" with a soft "g" as in "giraffe." So you would say "hee-MAY-jee."

Definitely. The following are great ones that are commonly dailies in events or available at the antiques dealer: Sentinel tower, Winner's plaza (buy level 1s from the dealer and use selection kits only for the upgrade), checkmate square, botanical rotunda and royal marble gateway. The cherry garden set is also good if you exchange the pond with a second rock. If you have space to spare you may also consider road to victory and gate of the sun god (level 2) since you get them for free.

Dang lol 🤣 your got the gamut of a jigsaw 🤩 I would take the Kraken and AO (if you have room for both in your city) to level 10, get your TA to level 10 too... HC leave alone for now and then ride your Traz to 60 with 1.9 donators.

Absolutely get that Arc to 10 then what I would do is get your Trinity buildings to level 10 then do one level on Arc and then one on Traz and back and forth, your Arc is crucial but so is that Traz. Plus when that Arc hits the sweet spot, it really moves with 1.9 donators.

Liliana the Magnificent my guild leader wanted me to be all arc all the time. I told him to forget it. I needed balance in my city. If I couldn’t attack worth a damn, I wasn’t going to be able to do other things which would help me get my arc up. Besides, doing one thing over and over is boring! This is supposed to be my creative outlet!

You want your attack and defense for your attacking army as high as you can get it. The higher it is, the less your military troops are damaged or defeated.

Correct, the military buildings do not need to touch roads, that goes for the rogue hideout as well. 🤩 But you need at least one building in your city to collect troops from your Traz. 🥳

@@LilianatheMagnificent Hi, even that you can not use that in the plundering of the neighbour city (maybe it change with new PVP Tower) you can use it when you are in the high end of GE (keep prepared for collecting in your city) and have a chance to destroy 50% of the first wave, that can be very helpful. Yes there is just chance, but with my Virgo on level 10 I got this effect in 7 from 10 battles (not in one day of course) Virgo can be useful same as the Kraken...

It depends on the era honestly. Some eras, the champs are strong and in other eras they are not. I tend to get enough as unattached units from Guild Expedition rewards though.

I have depended on champions the entire way up to my current industrial era. Many people trash them because you really can’t do pure autobattle with just one, but I don’t mind the extra step of hiding it in a corner first. It’s still winning for me, but taking more damage in Industrial because the artillery can reach across the field.
