The 'Fola'osi' singing group hails from the village of Kanokupolu on the western side of Tongatapu. Fola'osi, is a ngatu or tapa cloth which has been cut from a very long piece of tapa cloth called 'lau nima' or 'fuatanga'. The lead vocalists (baritone) or (hiva fasi), is none other than Kaati Fifita (who also hails from the village of Kanokupolu) who is known in Tongan music and dance history for his compositions as well as his unique voice.
