I cannot describe how much joy I get watching you and Nan craft together! The wonder in her voice, and I imagine in her eyes, when she heat embossed the sentiment and saw the “magic” made me so happy! I love to show that to people, as well! I am just now making this card. I was going to craft along but got caught up just watching you and Nan!! How very special!

I love hearing your Nan & the bond you have with her. Watching you both reminds me of my great-grandmama.. She lived with us from the time I was 16 until she passed at age 88 in 1992. She was a tiny little lady, barely 4.5 feet tall, which is funny as we called her Big Mama, but she could get a little feisty. I would sit with her in the evenings when she was quilting & I was crocheting or some other craft. I loved listening to her tell about her life as she lived through many inventions as she was born in 1904. I loved spending time with her. Hearing the way you are with your Nan reminds me of my Big Mama.

What a delightful video! So charming to see you working with Nan and showing her the ropes. She is obviously having as much fun as you are. It reminds me of all the fun I had with my own Nanna many years ago when we used to make bread together, and play dominoes - only she was the teacher, not me! She also taught me how to crochet when I was very small. These times together make such special memories. The card itself is brilliant and definitely a design I'd like to try making myself.

Oh honey, my heart breaks for you. I'm so sorry for your loss. I lost my maternal grandfather when I was about 3 but I remember him a little. He was an MP in the US Army and built my grandparents house with his own two hands. My maternal grandmother was awesome with the cookie baking and incredible knitting and crocheting. She use for crochet the most elaborate stuffed animals and clothes for me. I never lacked sweaters and ponchos. She even crocheted the most amazing clothes for my Barbies, including two stunning wedding gowns with tiny pearl buttons down the backs. One had short sleeves and a long, poofy skirt and the other had long sleeves and full A-line skirt with a long flowing train. I wish I still had them. I do still have a stuffed animal she crocheted. Thankfully. Now, my paternal grandparents were amazing, too. Always there for me and my brothers. We lived with them after my mom lost her mom and started drinking heavily. They're all in heaven now, my grandparents, my parents, even my brothers (one from drug overdose and the other from Covid-19), and I miss them everyday, so much that I can't think about them without crying. My mom died when I was 13 and I'm 50 now, so I can tell you it does get less painful with time. Just remember the good times with your Nan and celebrate her life. She would want you to be happy. She wouldn't want to be the cause of you being sad. Live your best life for your Nan, in honor of her. God bless. ❤️💕
