Thank you! I have used the clipper for binding but have been hesitant to use it for the other uses. Now I will be more confident by using your clever idea of using a cheating line until I am used to using the clipper! I am really surprised there aren't more video demonstrations of this amazing tool!

I love this tool. It has so many uses-; however, even if you used only for binding strips (to include the final miter on joining tails), it is a MVP player in the sewing room. Another way to have less fabric waste when there are are many corners involved is to cut the fabric for the clipped corner from a properly sized strip. Clip the corner from your base unit, and then pair with the strip-cut piece. Press open and trim if necessary. I also love this tool for cutting the corners for economy blocks. Again, I cut from strips because I can get the cut that I need (even slightly oversized) with less fabric than cutting from a square.
