This would be a great thing to offer at a craft fair! Hmmmmmm.... My daughter is getting married next weekend on the beach. I think I'll make these for the ladies! It's immediate family only, so it wouldn't take too long. I'm so excited! TFS!!

THANK you for teaching this old dog a new trick!! Last year I bought an adorable border punch. Used it and it was a MESS. I returned it next day never to buy another. I see them everyday on here and am so jealous. Realized just now that the punch was ok..i was just to dumb to use it right. After I watch your video I'm going to my favorite shopping site and get one. I WILL. Make a fan..or maybe even a bunch

Super adorable project. I made these previously, not as elegant, but with my third grade students as a Mother's Day gift. The kids drew their own pictures and that was the paper we used. We used the small rubber bands for the closure and I stapled them to the sticks for the kids. Then, the next year, I had my class make them for Thanksgiving and we donated them to a local nursing home as a service project. Now, I will make your project for a more "sophisticated" version. 😉

LOL - in Minnesota, we also say it's not the heat, it's the humidity, and we consider the mosquitoes to be our State bird... Loved the fan, thank you!

Ok, so I finally made me a fan. Not the prettiest paper, only one-sided print with white on reverse, but it was my test run. ⚠️ I stamped on the sticks (says "Stay COOL") then clear embossed over the whole stamped side to protect the ink and give it a glossy finish. Hot glue would NOT stick to the embossed finish. At least mine wouldn't. I finally got the twine and buttons glued but it wasn't easy. I will definitely make more. I need fans at church and I know other ladies there will want one! Love it! ❤️

I will be making several of these for an upcoming outdoor wedding. I can match there color scheme and keep the guest cool at the same time. Then they can take them home as a wedding favor.

Maymay I tried to use the buttons for a spacer because I just couldnt wait to get foam dots and it was kinda bulky BUT! then it hit me. I cut up one of my sticks into a small square and it was the perfect space and was a supply already being used. I also used a beaded project ( practice piece that I didnt like for its intended use but never unbeaded it) to weight the end of the bakers twine. Super pretty! TFS!!! your videos are so lively and fun.
