Folding 101 // How to Fold like a Retail Store // JOANNA

I've worked in retail for 9 years, and one thing I got really good at was folding! Every store has different methodologies for folding. Some use folding boards, some don't fold at all, and some (to me) are just right.
In this video I show you how to ~quickly~ and ~easily~ fold. By quickly and easily I mean its simple to learn, simple to do, and as you get good at it, it takes no time. But of course to make things look neat and organized you may need to start slow and practice.

Thanks for teaching us how to fold our clothes like some pros! I've always like the way clothes looked at retail stores(doesn't hurt that most clothing stores have great lighting and the smell of amazing perfume going on), and now I'm making sure my own clothes look the same way in my house.

What does it look like from the top? I fold my tops the same way as you do but for some reason both sides are not even and it looks messy.

Always check that your lines are straight as you fold! And I tend to tug a little here and there when the last fold is done!

Wondering the same thing...I guess the title is misleading, she’s using her knowledge and adapting it to personal home environment where we have the space and time to do all of that. I work in retail and we don’t have all this time, we do quick standing folds for everything, even more when you have the cashier shift

@@tiio6883 In retail stores, these are the folds I used when resetting the floor (like at the end of the day!)! But yes, I definitely adapt my folding styles at home depending on how I want to store the clothes.
