Folding Hunting Knives- Hunter Herd!

Wanted to do a video on one of my favorite styles of knife ! The folding Hunter!

Greatly enjoyed your video. Thanks for giving us a look at some of your folding hunters. That’s my favorite knife pattern, and what got me started in knife collecting. Started with the good ol’ 110, then discovered that there was a zillion “clones” or variations of it. Just when I think I have figured them all out, someone shows us yet another one! Down the rabbit hole I go…

Fortunately when I was in school they wouldn’t take a knife away from you in school. My 5th grade teacher borrowed mine one day, now that as in the ‘50’s . Thank the Lord I grew up when I did. Enjoy All your videos Sir !!!

Great response and thanks for the shout-out! This OT is a bit overwhelming to me as Folding Hunters are THE most represented knife in my collection. I wouldn't even know where to start and I'd certainly get squirreled it so many directions I'd be lost in the first five minutes. Maybe I need to try some of that brain power drink you recommend. Hope the truck issue is an easy fix. 500K is very impressive.

A Buck 110 Folding Hunter was a classic knife that was considered to be an everyday carry before everyday carry was a thing. My grandpaw always carried a Buck 110 in the bid of his overalls, and he wore overalls everyday unless he was going to church or to town on business. The Buck 110 is a tough folding hunting knife, that has application as a solid work knife on the farm. This feature you’ve put together on Folding Hunting Knives is an interesting topic. U have a Herd of Hunters there!! I grew up in West KY and carried a knife from 1st grade through 12th. Course we had a smoking area I used in HS and took guns to school in window racks of unlocked trucks. I got my HTs EDC Hunter Herd sticker in the mail this afternoon. I also included Sodbuster since they have skinned more deer than 112s if I were a betting man. My Buck 100 yr anniversary shields have lost most of the black in them, was yours like that and if so did the spa fix that too?

I still carry my Coldsteel Broken Skull in xhp. I bought it for $40 about 6 years ago. But my absolute always with me is a XL Voyager either the vaquero (if im going to a shady neighborhood) the tanto for everything else especially outdoors. I really love my coldsteel knives. No other company as a large blade with a absolute tank of a lock. I used to carry kershaw but they did me dirty on a knife warranty usa blades sold me a knife with a cracked blade in m390 then told me i need to contact kershaw. Kershaw said they nolonger carry the blade so the best i could get was a refund. Which wasn't the price i paid because its minus taxes and shipping. Even worse at that time they didn't have anything US made in stock even worth buying. I don't like liner locks. Haven't bought anything from them since 2019. Thats a hell of a collection you have. Carried the 112 all through boyscouts. Must of had 10 of them.
