Here's a CNC plasma tip. When you're doing the drawing for your welding tabs leave about a 1/16" strip connecting all your weld tabs. Do them in groups of 10 or whatever. This makes them way easier to fish out of the water and easier to remove the dross. If you do enough in a row they'll be supported by your table slats and won't even fall in the water. You can then just cut them apart with a zip disc in seconds. It works well for me anyway.

If there is anything thing I love more than new content from you ( and I’m sure Im not alone here) , is looking around the barn during this video and thinking “I remember the barn door build” “I remember when he put that flashing around the handles … and I remember when he twisted the handles” “I remember when you weighed your welding table” and I always remember liking every video and looking forward to the next. Glad you’re back for what I hope is a nice long run… ✌🏾

Great project! I'm guessing if one was so inclined, it would be easy to implement a railing as well, and perhaps a handle to avoid pinching the hand, but - it's also possible to just be aware of what you're doing!
@kevingerlach75172 жыл бұрын
Not a project for everyone, as the end user related, he pinched his finger grabbing the wrong section. Maybe a colored handle to safely fold and unfold?

These are more than a railing away from meeting code. No kickplate, that incline looks mighty steep. Beautiful project but terrible stairs. Maybe call it a ladder? Definitely keep kids and lawyers away from it

Loved the video! Amazing folding stairs project! Bravo! My only comment is that it needs a railing on the outside edge (maybe use a lightweight metal like aluminum or titanium), and some safety features to prevent pinched fingers, and maybe some sort of interlock mechanism to prevent the gate at the top from opening if the stairs are folded up and/or to prevent the stairs from folding up if the gate is open.
