Thanks for the tutorial. I found the secret ingredient is at the end, that final fold, if you don't really crease it down especially at the point. That point needs to remain kind of "bubbly". That's what makes the models pop versus just a bunch of sticks pointing downward.

very true. ive found with 1/32 size pieces it doesn't matter too much. as long as you add the pieces to a stick once folded the open up nicely

I wanted to ask. I started doing a model and used bigger sized pieces but the model didnt look right. Am I supposed to double the amount of pieces I use when I make the model? Also if my sheet is bigger than what your using will my model come out looking wrong?
@arunkandel51388 жыл бұрын
yes
@theorigamiwing7 жыл бұрын
if you have used bigger pieces you need to use thicker paper. or more layers of paper per piece

@freezypop23547 жыл бұрын

Ashley Clark maybe you need to fold harder and squeeze your fingers as hard as you can, if that doesn't work than idk

hey i use a ruler for the first half and fold it in half the other direction and use ruler to slide along the edge to make the creases more flat and open it up from the second half so u have the long piece and try it that way so you have a center line to align the sides too.

What if you don't have a ruler or anything to measure the paper, because in all the videos i have watched, my origami peices are either too big or too small. 😞😢😭
@theorigamiwing9 жыл бұрын
Millisa Jones as long as all your pieces are the same size it is ok. But... fold your paper in half along the shortest edge. Cut along the fold. Keep doing this until you get the size you want. To get the sizes I use you will have to fold the paper 5 times. You can fold all in one go, and then cut at the end. But you will be cutting through a lot of layers and the pieces may not all be the same :)
