I like the analysis a lot; great way to think about the hand. That said, at these lower stakes there is a tendency for players to think their big pairs or even top/top are invincible. There’s certainly a good chance that Hero is beat, but I’ve seen too many players flip over AA or KK in that spot and be shocked (and then tilted) that they lost to a hand like 6/5. I’d make the call.

Never been as confident in my decision to purchase Jonathan's Poker Coaching as I was at 5:25.

Great video Jonathan! Thanks for all the great coaching. I played my first live cash game yesterday since before the covid crisis and booked a nice win after being down early on. I did a good amount of studying during the break and I felt comfortable and focused and played well at the table.

Folding here assumes that V doesn't over value hands like TPTK or overpairs. I've seen more weak players keep firing 1 pair hands regardless of runout than I can count. I'd call and adjust based on what they showed down with. If they are only betting sets+, then I start folding much more but also bluffing a ton more.

Exactly this. It’s a must call if you think your opponent will overvalue hands... adjust accordingly after result.

I feel that small stakes players will have two sizes on the end: one smaller size with their KQ-AA range, and bigger size with flushes/sets. Where they bluff is usually on the smaller side as well. Since this is a larger bet, its probably less likely the value hands that you beat are even here, which leans me toward the fold too. If you know this player only uses one type of sizings on these boards/runouts, then I would call it off.

One of thenexamples where hero outlevels himself by folding. First of all, the villain river bet is pretty small, secodnly, he could have had AT+ type of hands with A of spades, also you really underestimate 1/3 players :) sometimes they do barrell 3 streets :) two pair is too strong - he might just think his AQ KK or AA are winning

1. 100 in 120 is not a small bet ;) 2. If you listened carefully you would have heard that Villain is not Bluffing in obvious bluff spots, which leaves him here with Value Hands and Hands he is over valuing as you mentioned AA,KK, AQ. 3. You are probably still right with the idea of calling, although its way closer than you think.

I'm check-raising that flop all day and betting big on a 3, 4, 5, 6 or ❤️ turn.

but why would that be a fucking default here??

I think it`s a bad fold. People overvalue overpairs a lot in small stakes

That is a tough fold. Good brain teaser.

I think I’m putting a bet out of say 50$ here and fold to a jam. Get called by AA KK and Q. Then I don’t have to make a decision to call for twice as much.
