I've got a camping trip this Saturday with a Ace Air Pro 440S and I can already say a huge thank you as I already know you've saved my sanity with this video! Top man Dave!

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it. We've found this method has worked every time for us, so you should be ok.

One technique i used when packing away our old air awning was when rolling it up obviously ensure that the air outlets were open. Then close the air outlets and then unroll it, open the outlets once more then roll it up. I might repeat this depending on how much air i though was still in it.

I've started doing something similar with our air canopy kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpiWf4NqiNmIors which despite being much smaller (just a roof) was deceptively difficult to pack due to the beam layout. I haven't had to do this with the full air awning, probably because the space taken up by any air left in the beams doesn't increase the packing size much. (Relative to the size of the packed awning.) But it's a really good idea to point out, so thanks for sharing.

Nice video, just what I needed for packing my vango air awning away

Glad it helped and useful to know it works for Vango as well. We had a Varkalla before the Dometic so I thought it probably would work.

Excellent i will use this method when i pack away our Club 260 should be easy compared to the 400 its quite a lump to deal with.

Glad you found it helpful, the same principle should work with moat awnings with slight adaptation. Let us know how it went. (And yes the 400 is quite a lump indeed:) )

I normally do the awning on my own. So I suspect it was the novelty that kept her interest 😂

Can you recommend an air awning that a single person can erect and pack away? I was thinking of something like a porch awning. TIA 😊

Pretty much any awning can be put up by one person. But if putting it up solo, then you will face a couple of issues. The first issue is pulling the awning along the rail whilst trying to feed it in the other end. Fortunately, there is a pulley based product to help with this, and I made a review of it here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/kIbdooaVqdmYY5Ysi=nhgz_EwXsYVXGqdu This is especially helpful if you are shorter (and by that, I mean less than 6ft). The next issue is weight, Air awnings are easier, but heavier than poled awnings. But there are versions with lighter canvas (the Kampa Dometic Pro awnings are a heavy canvas. If you want something very lightweight and don't need walls then the Dometic sunshine series are very easy to put up bit are just a sun canopy (roof) but there are optional side panels. I have a review of that here kzbin.info/www/bejne/an2Zq2V-d9Jro6ssi=QAoH555QCXiqG3xn But other than that aim for lightweight material, small size and removable panels (to reduce weight when putting on the rail) Hope that helps.
