I just discovered this channel tonight. I'm enjoying it so much, it's now 1:30am already! I hope you make many more episodes. I'm storing up knowledge for my future boat (hubby promises I can have one.....) 🤔😁

That boat shed looks very neat, just as long as you don't get to comfortable under there. But I guess with the cold we had last week I doubt it is far from comfortable.

Oh my God ! sorry but this is a revelation someone else on the planet is restoring a Folkboat. Sorry my name is Robin ive been working in splendid isolation for the past 6 years on my Folkboat Project. Ive watched all folkboat related films on U Tube and just in my hour of need you appear. Thank you I can relate to all that you are doing and some! I found your posts very interesting and informative. My Boat is in a chicken shed in County Wateford Ireland . She will be relaunched this April Hopefully! Cheers keep up . PS human interest usually includes skimpy bikinis dont think it would suite you!!

Hello Robin, good to hear from another folkboat project. I'd be very interested to chat about how you've gone about things. In particular I'd be interested to know about your forestay. On my boat there is a short strop which goes from the underside of the deck fitting down to a bracket on the stem. This was previously held in place by rusty coach screws. I'm wondering if a through bolt would be better? Could you drop me a message to roundandsquareboats@gmail.com. Thanks, Steve

really good broadcast. It appears that the floors do not have any limber holes; that may explain the lack of a good fit. the shed is great and thats a neat trick with the keel bolts

Hi all, when you make a plastic covered shelter, it’s best to locate the horizontal strap about a foot below the rafter tail. This allows water and snow to run off.

How did I just find you? Awesome! Actually, one of my new subscribers is subbed to your channel. I think I've a bit of catching up to do. cheers

Great vid and a great inspiration. Can I ask you how did you attach the wall stands to the ground?

Hi Steve, could tell me what yard this is, please? I’ve got need of a place to do things in the Forth area. Not a full refit, more a fettle.

The yard was run by Steve Kelvin and is called either Kelvin Marine or forth and Clyde Marine. It's in Grangemouth. I'm not sure if its still operational.

I really like your videos, funny and informative. Out of curiosity, how long did it take to build that shelter?
@roundandsquareboats16085 жыл бұрын
The shelter took about a day and a half to build. The wind here has been hellish recently but thankfully it hasn't all blown down.......... yet.
