Wow! I'm impressed. Garry Creely made some impressive good knife? And I'm happy and proud also to own a knife from garry creely. Ordered some years ago the Mako 121 with kickstarter and still am happy with it. Here in Europe i'ts a bit costly but since he's the only one to make knives with some exotic materials its worth every cent. I love creely knives.

I don't have the Folklore but Creely's Mako is a great edc knife, especially in magnacut. Thought I'd hate the pocket sheath, even ordered a kydex one, but now that I'm used to it the pocket sheath works great. After over 10 months of daily use on a small ranch I've only had to strop it up twice, that magnacut holds an edge like no steel that I've used before. I'm not beating it on cars or boulders, but still impressive. Love the Mako. Wish I could afford more of his work, saving up my pennies.

Some may think or assume that Gary intentionally overbuilt this particular knife then sent it to the legendary JoeX known for breaking blades with his mind using telekinesis butttt to the contrary I happen to know that each and every Gary Creely made knife is ludicrously indestructable and of the highest quality that can be had using all the latest steels and rare steels that outperform most anything else on the market! So JoeX consider yourself lucky to have now owned one I have been wanting a Creely Blades knife for quite some time now but they're not the easiest to aquire due to very high demand for his exceptional blades!

I think the good news is in terms of tough knives, this one is an exception in terms of price. Most Extremely tough knives won’t break the bank because more basic budget steels are generally tougher.

Survive is a fucking scam and their waiting times have been a thing since well before that video. They've been recycling the same excuses for literally 6+ years. I doubt Creely will ever have you wait as long on average as Survive, and Creely will actually provide communication and realistic timelines....unlike Guy

@@joex Tried and tested, it allows the knife to be gripped by the end of the handle without it falling out of the hand while chopping. It is a logical and practical solution if one cuts with a shorter knife.

The knife is advertised to have removable handle scales - so that was to be expected; it's not epoxied nor is lock tight used (maybe removable grade is used at the very least). Just wanted to add my 2 cents for the sake of it.
