1000, 1400, & 1650 augers are not sharp enough to cut you like the 1010, 1410, etc. augers are. The concave part of the auger flight is normal and is machined that way to lessen the width of the cutting surface and lower the amp draw on the gearmotor. Your barrel is very scaled up and can be sanded with 120 grit, front to back to clean it up. As long as the pitting isn't leaking refrigerant there's no problem with it. Ice will fill in any voids. As long as the ice sticks to the surface of the evaporator all is good. The auger can be cleaned up with ice machine descaler and a scrub pad - maybe some stainless steel wool, but nothing too abrasive. The ice needs to stick to the evaporator barrel and slide on the auger. Unless the water/shaft seal is damaged or O-rings are damaged, they should be fine to reuse. Be sure the descale the reservoir, drain lines and drain valve.
