Follicular Thyroid Carcinoma

I made a surgery to remove the left lobe of thyroid because it has a follicular nodule. I am waiting the pathology report on Thursday , what will happen in case it is carcinoma or when it is adenoma? Note :- the surgery removed half of the thyroid not all of it

If it’s an Adenoma, then I think no further actions needed, but if carcinoma, then you might need another surgery and more scans. At this point, I think the best thing is wait and pray and hopefully we will have good news on Thursday. Keep me updated, I will be happy to help if I can. Wish you speedy recovery.

@@MohamedRamadan-th7vi Hi Mohamed, unfortunately the channel is the only available way to communicate but the good news is that NIFTP has an excellent prognosis, so things should be fine now after your surgery. Did the oncologist recommended any further treatment?

@@PathologyWay Pathology report recommends follow up , nucular medicine doctor prefer another surgery to remove the rest of thyroid before iodine radio therapy. The surgeant says :- it is your decision !
