Hey Mr.Varga, first off, I wanted to say that I REALLY appreciate you doing these videos because they have invaluable knowledge and have definitely helped me become a better better fighter. My question is though, I'm 21 years old and have just started muay thai a month ago, and I'm wondering if it's not too late to pursue a kick boxing career to the highest level, as some of the best fighters have started since they were kids. Thanks!

You just need consistency and the right coaches. Ander silva started his career at the age of 30.

Dont care what people say other than your coaches, focus in and love what your learning, always ALWAYS never be afraid to try new things. Next thing you know you'll go from getting your butt kicked from everyone at the gym to keeping up with the big guys. Then fighting might seem a reasonable option.

You've got time. Aim for an amateur career until you're 24-26 and then you can go pro. I went pro at 25. You can get very good in 3-5 years if you dedicate yourself to the sport.

Hey Gabriel I'm a 19yo amateur kickboxer (dutch style) and right now I'm grounded due to an herniated disc that affects one of the nerves that goes through my left leg. My fisiotherapist told me I can start training slowly as long as I avoid movements that cause pain (basically completely restricted left leg extension and partial right leg extension) so can you make a video about kickboxing training when injured or recovering from an injury? I'm getting depressed knowing i can't train to my fullest potential especially considering I was supposed to fight for the amateur national championship of portugal in december.

I've been there. Injuries are so frustrating. I was off for 8 months in a year because of a back injury. The one important thing to keep in mind is it seems like a long time when you're injured. But looking back 8 months off wasn't really anything. You're only 19 so you've got loads of time. I didn't have my first ring fight until I was 20. I'll try to get a video made but until then stay mentally strong and know you will heal and be back to training after proper recovery.

Inspired by your videos so I made a DIY double end bag trainer for boxing with household items if anyone is interested and can’t get out to a gym. Just put a short clip up

Gabriel, another great workout video, which is highly appreciated. I've heard the human body should sweat everyday... After these kinds of workouts I feel extremely well, but also exhausted a bit... still. To everyone: watch his videos on stretching. gamechanger.

I'm actually in Victoria. Every once in a while I head over there for training. I went to his gym a few years back for sparring. But right now I'm far away. I'm glad you're enjoying the content though.

My self defence is a bit rusty. Real self defence. I wouldn't bother with kickboxing technique as it's not the most effective way to protect yourself and get away from attackers.
