On the way to Paris I stopped in Reims to have lunch. Beautiful cathedral in front of which was cafeteria. Pitty we already had booked for that day in Paris since there was a local produce festival about to start. Thinking of doing a city trip in two weeks.

The smaller French cities are nice. Been in Bayeux when there was a medieval festival, absolutely fantastic. The restaurants put out all their chais tables and bbqs, people dressup like princess or quasimodo LOL Avignon is also very nice with a mediteranian vibe.

thanks! as its a small town, I would say 1-2 days if you're really fast. However if you want to explore the surroundings and go for a stroll, plan for a bit more. have fun in reims!

I think you mean whether the champagne tasting is free of charge? unfortunately its not. but as I remember it was fair priced and the ticket includes one glass of champagne as well as the tour. I loved the Taittinger and Lanson tour.
