I say this coming from a background of Steely Dan and Prog listening, this entire record was a masterpiece! Some amazing production.

There's something about the soundscape of this song in my heart and soul ... it was there for me in the 90's ... and it was like this jewel on this album I would not have typically bought. I think I got it to go against my own ego of avoiding what others enjoyed, as a sort of sad, lonely teen at school. I ended up allowing myself to love this new sound, and this song really spoke such loveliness ... a timeless sound of love for all and everything that's every been or will be, if that makes sense. I am so grateful that there is music in the Universe .... that it is made of music. Thank you for sharing your own love and expression of this song with us here on KZbin.

It's the haunting sound of the guitar that I like most on this tune.

It was a happy surprise for me on this album as well. The is so far off the path they usually forged with their music and it is one of my all time favs, as simple as this tune seems... simple, but great arrangement!

Fantastic sound there and thanks so much for uploading. This song does so much for me and brings back so many memories when "Cosmic Thing" came out in 1989. The B-52's sound has always had such a diverse range and this is one of their most beautiful and haunting songs. All instrumental, this song was, in their words, a perfect bookend for the "Cosmic Thing" album. The songs took you on an autobiographical journey and was a real tribute to Ricky Wilson, who died of AIDS only 4 years before.

Amazing job. One of my favorite comfy songs ever! That warm, smooth guitar. You actually made it like 5% better, by making a perfect natural stereo effect playing along with it. Nice axe btw! :)

@Empien1 Thanks. I started playing back in college, self taught, then i found out about tabs which isn't really good, still use them but for some bits and pieces that i can't figure out. This one is not too difficult to learn so no tab required. It's the deep sound of the guitar that i love most on this tune..

Thanks...still makes me wonder how you found your way here via West Wing but i'm glad you like the cover. I think i know what you mean by the sound of the first slips, I just don't know the word for it. Cheers.

GREAT !!! I came here by way of "The West Wing", Macy Gray (don't ask). I have the CD "Cosmic Thing" (I was gonna say SLOP) and was always fascinated by the sounds of the "fret slips" if that what they're called Thanks for your video -- GOOD WORK

Can you give tabs please?
@rstuazon3 жыл бұрын
Sorry I've no tab for this, although I found one in Ultimate guitar website.
@Joes-Adventures715 жыл бұрын
If found only one guitar tab of this and its far more complicated and doesn't sound as accurate as your version. Nice job.
