I used to play wc3 with my brother when we were kids. We would often do caterogies of units we were only allowed to build. Like only trolls for me and only orcs for him. Bedankt voor de fijne herinnering. Kan me nog herinneren dat je bij DwDD zat.

"All orc units are bad" I'd say Grunts are pretty good. They've got the highest health of any starting unit, and having medium armor means they're not trash vs piercing.

that point that grubby made about casters being good against burrows and how to think in game is something that only very high level players can adapt to in any game. the casters damage against burrows is actually a win condition, yet it's overlooked because the focus will be on killing stasis/healing wards with dispel etc and to take a fight in which you can get raiders to back line

Buff suggestion for Wyverns: allow the poison dmg on envenomed spears to kill target when health gets to 0. To avoid losing this benefit when a stronger poison would otherwise supercede, have it apply an additional debuff, "deadly poison" or whatever, that allows dmg received by poison to kill target. Pretty situational, leans into hit and run playstyle, and interesting from the newness. Probably not that impactful, but still encouraging their use a bit.

Undead is absurd in an FFA timeline. In the fact that you can have a chen raging frenzied alchemist whith the corruption orbit and frost armor used to just dive him into bases and kill whatever you click on so much fun

on ST, instead of pushing the expo (wasting time) with your sh and wards, just creep the shop and then your merc...you have level 3 SH and then you can counter expo or defend the push. longer the game goes, better for you as you of course know.

I wonder what it would take to make the Orc's Wyvern Riders worth making? Would it be a reduction in gold/wood cost? maybe a food cost reduction? Or do they just need more stats? For a 4-pop flyer they sure do seem to just not have much stats.. compare to another 4 pop flyer, the Gryphon Rider, they have like 350hp less, that's a huge problem..

Wind riders are E tier, ive always loved the unit's concept but it's simply peerless as bad units go. I don't think a single other unit in all wc3 can compare to the absolute bag of problems this bad boy brings to every single matchup. Cursed ever since they lost their names , truly. Twice the cost of a dryad and come with exclusive bonuses of upgrade locked poison and death by magic damage. Dies faster than Monsieur THE ENDS JUSTIFY THE MEANS. If a single unit anywhere deserves a complete rework, it's these sad sad flaps.

Hey, Grubby, I was wondering - why do you mass Witch Doctors for a magic damage composition instead of Shamans or Spirit Walkers? Shamans are only a tiny bit more expensive and do a tiny bit less damage, but have more HP and have better spells for your heroes (lightning shield on your TC, bloodlust). Is bloodlust just too expensive to warrant getting master training? Are stasis wards just that much better than purge/lightning shield/bloodlust? Walkers are a ton more expensive, but they have a crazy amount of health for a caster, do way more damage at the same attack rate, and all of their spells are great for mass cows. I can get the Shaman argument for missing out on damage, but why no Walkers?

Lose like Grubby. Absolutely positive attitude, immediately takes away the teachable moments, and has learned to never use wind riders for anything but gold raiding, which is the only thing they can't completely fail at. They are completely unfit for combat. 😂

If Tauren and Wyvern are the worst orc units MAYBE they become good if you make them BOTH. Fast T2 army Wyvern + Tauren. With spirit link and all that free extra Tauen HP it is quite durable.

Balance changes: - make sentry wards visible - instead of Stasis Trap Ward, witch doctor has Decoy ability that essentially creates an illusion of a unit, but when it gets killed, enemy units in a small area will be stunned for a couple of seconds what do you think?
