Following a BNSF Into and Out of Bakersfield

Back on the BNSF! I caught a train easing into town at Kern Junction so I thought I'd follow him into the yard then talk about the depot and Amtrak history then follow him out of town AND catch an Amtrak out at Una.
It was a busy and HOT morning but I thing you'll like the result. So join me for a BNSF adventure in Bakersfield!

LOL, my brother worked out of that courthouse as a parole officer after he got out of the Army. He took kids before the same judge that tried him when he was a young delinquent, before being invited to request uncle Sams company.

Hello Mark another good video I noticed you were mentioning stuff about oil wells, when I go to Famoso for the drags I sometimes take HWY 65 back to Bakersfield and I always wondered what all the piping and plumbing that’s associated with all the oil wells out there including the different size of pumps that might be an interesting subject since you know something about thanks from a subscriber

I found the BNSF Signals and their meaning vs UP I'll be happy to email it to you what is your email? You say in the video's but it's kind of hard for me to understand exactly what it is....

My mushmouth! I usually insert it but it's [e-mail]. When SJVR took over the branches in the mid 90s I worked many weekends for their signal contractor, American Signal Technologies, and got familiar with their design differences. We have two mainline interlockings with them as well at Bakersfield and Mojave. I always appreciate information though! Thanks!
