Id lost my MTB mojo for 18 months and Nates follow cam series really got me stoked again. I bought myself a new bike and really wanted an Ibis Ripmo (saved up my pennies) which brought me to your channel (and amazing skills). Love watching both of you ride but I'm getting very envious of the dry conditions. Happy trails from a very wet British fan.

Nice! Tough lighting conditions, but that's just an unfortunate part of it with GoPro POV. No secret that Nate can ride by how he manages to hold the rear tire of whoever he's following, but it was cool to get to see some POV of him. He rides very light on the bike, and flicks it around a lot, and you really can't tell that watching his videos. I DISTINCTLY remember seeing that video of Nate following Mears down Porcupine Rim for the first time, and how I literally started sending that link to everyone I knew saying, "It's the end of "Puke of View" cam!" It was a game changer in terms of KZbinrs "bringing the trails" to viewers. In my mind, he will always be the OG of MTB POV footage, and he has stuck with his formula. He added in the occasional "cocktail and bike build," well...and the drone footage, but for the most part, it's been ripping trails behind great riders. Jeff...I love your commitment to fostering advocacy. I hope you're able to continue that on occasion, and gain viewers. I feel like unfortunately, part of the challenge with that is inherently with the numbers. No more than 20% of the MTB'ers in any area, are going to skip even one ride a year to do anything to help with the trails. So, a lot of people probably click on your channel, see that it's about advocacy, and immediately think... "What? Actually work on the trails? Annnnnd click." Sadly.

Thanks for the note Charles! I remember meeting Nate at the Oregon enduro races back in the day. Awesome to see him continue to get faster as a rider (while some of us have plateaued!) and it is indeed amazing what he's done for KZbin! I have three more big advocacy pieces to publish from 2019, hustling hard on editing now.
