Excellent video. You answered my question from your other video. Did my tune today. Advantage. I live in philthy Philly, lots of stop signs and lights so really couldn't take it for a stopless ride. Even so I can feel a great difference in how my truck responds.

Thanks so much that makes the eco mode so much easier to use. Thats the main reason I want the tune is for better fuel effiency and still have a tow mode for hauling a small toy hauler, oh yeah and a "fun" mode (sport) mode to slam it when I want to so this tune is what i will probably go with. Thanks again.

Ordered mine today for a '17 sierra 4.3L. Like the 2.5L 4 cylinder I won't get the different modes. But I do run 91 all the time and 93-94 octane is readily available. Can't wait!

Great video! I just bought a 17 canyon v6 and coming from a 19 Colorado the canyon feels like a old mans truck as far as throttle response goes. Will a dealer be able to tell I tuned my truck if I have to go in for service or repairs I’m only asking because it’s certified and with the tranny issues in the 17s.

Supposedly there’s a setting that makes the tune seem invisible but I can’t vouch whether or not it’s 100% reliable. Thanks for watching.

I have the 2016 GMC Canyon 3.6 engine. My question is will the Trifecta Advantage remove the 98 mph governor that the truck came with or will I need to do that separately?

I believe there is an option to remove the governor when you fill out the form to do your order with Trifecta. 👍🏼

locally the best i can get is 92 octane but they tune for 91. I'm just waiting on my cable from them. I already have the tuning software and my tune.

Idk about the V6 but on my 4cyl. there's a big difference when I use low octane regular gas and higher premium octane. With the higher octane it's peppy as hell and on lower octane it feels lazy. Even my GF noticed the difference. Bad part is here on Belize our octane level fluctuates drastically so at times I gotta use some octane booster.

@@dixter1652 I may have misspoke, i think the "manual" is on your account page on their website. You go into the downloads section and there, a link called "EZ Flash User Guide". You should have access to it now if you've created an account.

@@fondupot Thanks again... that Guide is the one for after you buy the program they ask you to load the flasher onto your laptop and the first item they ask for is the security code from the trucks computer, you send that to them so they can build the files for loading up to your truck... I was hoping they had a user manual though.... maybe when they get the software completed... but your vid shows pretty much everything on how to use it... so all is good... thanks again

How is it with the stabilitrack? I know stock the truck will cut off some power even with stabilitrack off wondering if this will help keep some power with that issue

How are the downshifts? I recently got the new OEM flash and it made my downshifts very hard. I'm thinking of getting this. How are the downshifts in eco mode and sport mode?

Looks like that TSB is for 2015-2016 speeds. Different transmission.

The trucks driveability really feels vastly improved. And it’s too early to tell but there should be improvements in fuel mileage too. It will pay for itself over time.

@@fondupot and it won't void any warranty ? Also wanted to let you know that I got a pair of Lasfit front turn signal bulbs and they work great, no resistors needed and they are currently working on bulbs for the rear. Very bright and no hyper flash.

Glad to hear the Lasfit’s are working out for you. What part number did you buy? And as far as warranty goes on the tune. It’s probably not going to be covered if something fails due to the tune.

It should help yes slightly yes. But don’t expect much increase if your in constant stop and go driving.

Anyone using this tune on a Canyon in Colorado, at elevation? Does it help climbing steep inclines like heading westbound on I-70 into the Mountains?

Good question. I can't really weigh in because all the mountains in North Carolina are basically foothills compared to mountains out west. I'm sure it helps though!

Hello. I have a 2016 Canyon, V6, SLE with Goodyear Wranglers with Kevlar, 265-60-R18, would this require the Advantage plus? Or, is the Basic, lowest cost tune good? Thanks!

The advantage + has tire calibration so if you have larger than stock tires, it allows you to calibrate for that. If you are running stock tires and plan to keep it that way, go with the basic tune and save some money.

@@fondupot That's where i'm a bit confused, Canyons come with 17's or 18's, are 18's considered stock? BTW, GREAT videos! I will buy this tune soon and comment on how the truck handles climbing at 7400 ft..

Whatever tires came on your truck from the factory is considered stock. They will have the same overall size. Between 17” and 18” wheels. Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoy them. Yea let me know How the elevation driving goes.

All videos I watch about fuel says 87-93 isn't much difference for mpg

I would agree. But 93 is better for power. When properly tuned for it.

Got it on 2018 3.6 zr1. Fuel mileage went down and no difference in power, just throttle detent removed and shift parameters adj.

That’s weird. My mileage didn’t change. Are you running oversized tires? Try disconnecting your battery for a half out and letting the computer reset.

How are the shift parameters in sport mode? Does it shift around and hunt for gears as much as the stock calibration does or does it lug in a higher gear? I've been considering the tune as I've always been disappointed with the low end torque of the V6 and how the trans always has to shift to try and compensate for its lack of grunt when going up a hill, the engine makes an annoying drone between 2-3000 rpm. when towing a larger trailer it's lack of bottom end is even more noticeable. How's throttle feel in Eco, is it more aggressive then stock or does it have a dull numb feeling to it, does it require you to push past the detent like stock or is it similar to sport mode?

Overall the truck just has better drive ability. The trans doesn’t hunt around as much. It’s much more decisive. As for the throttle in ECO mode I find that it’s similar to OEM, but more refined and slightly more responsive, and still retains the detent for WOT. Sport mode is entirely different. Much more responsive pedal. And basically deletes the detent for WOT. Thanks for watching. And thanks for the comment!

No. Cruise control functions normally. The button has two purposes now. Sport mode/eco mode. And cruise on/off.

@@fondupot How does that work? While cruising on the highway for example you press it and its on cruise control but if you're stopped its eco mode?

@@icanhazratburgr When cruise mode is actively engaged (button pressed, and light on the dash is illuminated) you're in ECO mode. You can drive around normally with the gas pedal, or cruise control and it will remain in ECO. But if you disengage the cruise control button (light off on the dash) you are in sport mode.
