i really love how in japanese you can combine syllables in two english words i read akogi in the title i realized its short for "acoustic guitar" honestly one of the coolest things about japanese language

Its pretty common in asian languages where the syllable represents a significant part of the word. Eg. Korean does the same, and Im willing to bet Chinese does as well. The reason it is less effective in English is because the first letter only represents a small and highly ambiguous part of the word. Like saying "ag" is Acoustic Guitar. Could also be "awesome game"...etc. Still, agreed; it can be cool! (Or makes KR slang super hard to understand)

@@wouldyouliketodancewithme I have such a hard time keeping up with new korean slang because often its two words Im not familiar with put together haha
