This man is a hero!! Not only because of Judo but because of the person he is When Jorge came to Portugal his family was really poor and lived in a bad/poor neighborhood, with a lot of opportunities to crime But he was always a good guy and knew he had to help his mom so he was good at school and with his training He had a son when was just 17 and started working on a restaurant washing dishes When he was 21/22 he was diagnosed with a bone cancer, and started doing chemo AND NEVER STOPPED TRAINING AND WORKING!! Even when the treatment made him sick! He's an inspiration to me about how hard work can get you to the highest places

Too skillful. What a fighter. I really love his style of sode osoto, very dynamic. Just like Hifumi Abe from Japan

I'm from Portugal and I already had been with him in training camps, he is as great as he is on the tatami as he his outside. He is such a cheerful person. Besides he is a fucking beast, he looks like a closet bcs of how big he is in width

If I look at the dancing just being me, I say it's fun, i like people dancing including myself. As a former judoka, good amateur, grown up with it after Geesink' success, in Holland : we were disciplined in the traditional Japanese way. Judo is tradition, a state of mind in which dancing on the tatami has no place. I choose that spirit.
