I feel that's true with most bands I like. I can't think of a band I like where once you get know them your disappointed. Obviously there's great bands with shitty people in them. But I think getting to know a band always makes their music that much better (I guess as long as their cool people).

"Wholesome" is an odd word choice. By rock standards, yes, they are fairly wholesome. By normal standards, they are definitely not wholesome. I don't think wholesome is a good thing, so that's fine with me. Dave smokes a lot of pot, smokes cigarettes, drinks alcohol, and was fairly crazy during a certain period following Nirvana in Los Angeles. He has fornicated with a LOT of groupies. We know all this from his auto biography.

Without a real high fi system, you can't really hear what Copeland is doing and you won't get it. Once you hear him in a high resolution system he becomes one of the best drummers ever and super entertaining to listen to.

When I was a kid in Grade school (5th grade) and Jr High, The Police had been my favorite band, and THEN I found Heavy metal in High school. It was the 80's, heavy metal was everywhere, I still love metal. Now, IF The Police are REALLY going to get back together, I would be shocked. The guys had not gotten along very well, especially Sting and Stewart Copeland, But, who knows, maybe they will tour again? Taylor had been a very talented drummer. And seemed like a great guy, I can see how Stewart would get along with him. Okay, so, at the approx 2:30 mark Dave says that he can't wait to see "The Police" perform, so, they did? At the end of the video, there is a band performing onstage, BUT, it is NOT "The Police" meaning the ORIGINAL band with "Sting, Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland.

I've never found Matt Cameron particularly as technical and jazzy as Copeland. More simple (but not in a bad way, just his own style). Jack Irons of the Red Hot Chillis and Pearl Jam (for their Vitalogy, No Code, and Yield albums) is probably a bit closer in my opinion.
