Doesn't sound that healthy to me in all honesty. It has this raspy quality it didn't use to, that sounds like he's pushing too hard. He's getting older, so he might be overcompensating to a vocal change. He'll adjust, I imagine, but pushing is never a good thing.
@Tim85-y2q3 жыл бұрын
@@mikejenkins4924 IMHO he sounds better now than he did for awhile a few years back. He's said he quit smoking, so that will probably help. That said, he's 52 now, he's not going to sound like he did at 30 no matter what he does.
@mikejenkins49243 жыл бұрын
@@Tim85-y2q A few years back he definitely sounded worse, but that obvious pushing and slight loss of control could indicate vocal weakening.
@Tim85-y2q3 жыл бұрын
@@mikejenkins4924 Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it doesn't (though again, I don't think there's any way that could not be the case for someone who sings like he does for as long as he has), only that it seems to me like he probably is taking some steps to address the issue. In recordings from 2015/16ish he sounded REALLY rough as opposed to just moderately strained like here. He'll likely never get everything back, so stopping further damage may be the best we as fans can hope for. Dave drums with gloves now too, time catches up with all of us.

Kurt as a young man would have hated it. I'm not sure how he would feel as they got older. It would depend on the personality type. Stubborn or not.
