I am laughing at these people slagging on Josh in the comments. They have never picked up a drum stick and tried to play drums. Josh is fantastic. His timing, feel, precision…spot on. This guy is a pro. Taylor was a great drummer, but people have put him on too high of a pedestal if they think Josh is not doing great here.

i miss taylor and he will always be remembered. Josh is a beast on drums. I can't think of anyone better to handle the pressure of replacing a respected and much loved drummer. Josh is killing it. I can see the band coming together more and more and I love how they are learning to play together again. I would love to see them live.

I have tried very hard to be open minded but after listening to several videos this sounds like pop music. Have loved FF since the beginning but if this is how it's going to be I will just remember how it was and wish them the best. Sadness

Well I'm 63, have seen them live 19 times stateside, own every album so I think I can tell the difference. Heck that little girl who did a challenge on the drums against Dave was better then freese. You have to remember also that Hawk was more then a drummer, was a harmony man also. He can't be replaced.

@@sanmassara2541 If you think that Bushell's playing, who also played with Foos on the memorial concerts, is better than Freese's and not only what he is showing with Foo Fighters, you are just delusional. She's good and my god has a brilliant future ahead of her, but this claim is so far off. Yes Taylor can't be replaced and they don't want to. Freese is doing amazing and I'm happy he's driving the Foo's forward, his energy seems what was necesarry for the band. This coming from a fan who has all their records, seen them a bunch of times live, and also as a (mediocre) drummer

@@KarklinPumpkin I like Josh and what he brings, but he does come at it with more of a punk attitude so his comment is on mark in several ways... but his choice of words, "pollutes" is a little off. Josh speeds up and slows more, and has a "sloggier" feel. Good or bad,... just different. But don't kid yourself, that he isn't over playing. .. and yes, I can do it.. on all instruments. I'm not just farting fan...
