I cleaned out my step dads house to this song. My mom died of cancer and he just didnt really want anything to do with me anymore and made me do it myself. Over and over i played this song. And i truly dont think anything will ever feel as good as that family i had there. This song has a veey strong feeling to me. A feeling that something is over. A feeling that you want it again but you know you can never have it again. I hope you all get to experience that happiness once in your lives even if its just for a fleeting time. I love you mom.

Real. All jokes aside, you just gotta stay positive. Maybe try to talk with your dad about it. Trust me, my mom died of cancer in 2017. My dad used to always be really strict, and keep us well, but now he's too laid back on us. It's like an ego death to our parents, when you've lost your one love, to whom you've been married to for so long, it hurts, and it doesn't stop hurting. He's grieving just as much as you, but no matter the age, you're both the men of the house. You just gotta keep ya head up high, and focus on the good things in life. Death is just a natural occurrence, but it's not natural to us. All I have to say, is that he loves you. Even if it doesn't seem like it, he would give the world to protect you. Remember that. ❤

I did my art GCSE exam to this song. My outcome was to be a painting, of a city at night with puddles (it had just been raining) and a man, walking alone with his umbrella up. Everything in the city was darker colours, whereas the man would be bright, with a yellow jacket and purple trousers. The sky was abstract, based off this song. I listened to this song on repeat for ten hours straight. It's beautiful. This song shows sadness, hope, loneliness, happiness, and I think I captured all of that in my painting. And despite, listening to this song for hours on end, I still love this song to bits, and will never get bored of it.

@VonDiesel3768 Жыл бұрын
Through sheer enjoyment of life, a great relationship/fling, any person could have written these lyrics. They’re impactful, uplifting, and insanely depressing at the same time. Everyone tries to console people with “it gets better”, but it truly doesn’t. There are highs and lows, but nothing will ever be as good as your best memories. It doesn’t get better, you just get used to it and learn better how to face it & deal with it. Some things will get you high again, but you’ll never really feel the highs of youth again. That’s obviously very depressing from one angle but beautiful from another, bc you know that millions of young people are experiencing those moments right now, with no worry of death or decline. We will move forward, despite our triumphs & subsequent losses. We will never forget that one that got away, no matter how happy or angry we are at where they ended up. We will forever live through our past, which will be forgotten someday, and replaced with new life’s cherished present and loves. It’s beautiful, and gives at least a tiny bit of comfort & optimism, as we barrel towards our ends.

A few months back, I had no clue what foo fighters even was. I was more over raised on nirvana rather than foo fighters. but in those months that I had no clue who these guys were, I dreamt of Taylor. Just a few weeks after his death. In real life, I hadn’t heard of him just yet, nor who he was or what he even looked like. But in this dream, I knew exactly who he was, down to his name and drumming. He told me to pursue my drumming career, because really, we only live once. Hearing it from him made it that much more real. I woke up that morning and realized that this was the answer. Now this song is one of my favorites, and considering I went through a very recent loss that tore me apart, all the songs from the white album, as well as the song ‘I should’ve known’ , hit just that much harder.

I put this song (and the Foo Fighters) up there with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, The Who, The Beatles, UFO, Stones and all of them. Foo Fighters are among the last of the greats imo. R.I.P Taylor. I saw them once in my home town and it’s a memory I will never forget 🩵

Same here. Only Foo Fighters show I've ever managed to get to, and it was the last one they played here with Taylor. It was an amazing night and show

I believe that this is one of the most influential songs of the 21st century. There's truly something different about the way it's made that almost anyone can relate to in some way.

De las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos. Da cosa que muchos todavía se quedaron en el rollo de Nirvana y nunca se han tomado el tiempo de escuchar a uno de los genios musicales más grandes que tenemos, Dave Grohl.

this song is something special, i know many people already said this before, but it feels nostalgic in more ways than one, this song brings out a lot of feelings that you don't usually feel

I love this acoustic AND Rock version of this song: was "our song" when I had a cross country love, back before the internet, and we'd play this song. .. .we'd sing, 🎶 "If everything could ever be this real forever, if anything could ever be this good again. Only thing I ever ask of you, gotta promise not to stop when I say when" 🎵 ❤️ HEARTS ever aching. . The ultimate 💞

I've been a fan of foo fighters for 10-11 years, since I was a toddler and at the age of 14, I'm still listening to this legendary band. Rip Taylor Hawkins

This summer, 2024 summer, i met a guy my friend hooked me up with. I live in morroco but i grew up in my hometown. Every summer and winter i go to my hometown and thats where he lived, he didnt know i was going to go back to where i live currently, i was to scared to tell him as soon as i met him because i was scared he would break up with me, for a whole month we were dating, it felt like a eternity, i told him eventually though, he promised he would never leave me even if we are distant. The day i left my hometown , and the night i went back to morroco, he broke up with me the same day i went back, a few days later he begged for me to come back, i did. I knew he was going through stuff and i wanted to be there for him. He had drinking and smoking problems. But he left once again 2 days later. Nothing feels the same. When we were together i made a tiktok for him with this song, and i always told him that this song reminded me of him, we would both think about eachother when we listened to this song. Now i cannot listen to this song without crying.

Let him go. It might be hard to do, but you can't keep letting him break your heart over and over. I understand the feeling but you gotta move on
@skepsisrollins17114 ай бұрын
If it'll happen, it'll happen when you both have the freedom to choose where to live distance and young age isn't a winning mixture, most marriages in my country end in divorce or become loveless, but time opens more doors than you'd expect The wrong time can ruin the right person. Let go while you still think fondly of them, without resentment & maybe the future has something for you two.

This song carries many emotions. To Dave Grohl. Whatever happens in your personal life, stays in your personal life. Death of the author. Your music helps and inspired others, and I hope it inspires you as your creation to make change.

Just learned this song is about Louise Post from Veruca Salt and Dave's relationship, and she was originally supposed to be the one whispering on this song. Totally changes my perspective of this song, being a love song! Dave needs to release the original version with Louise backing vocals!

I’m hating myself on how I found this song from Lethal Company. Thinking now, this would be a GREAT song pick to PLAY Lethal Company. Just dashing through halls, turning quick corners, and jumping gaps. All that in a fast manner with THIS song blasting. It wouldn’t make you think twice. It would make you ACT.
